Allman-Betts Tour last night

I'm shocked that nobody here or anywhere online for that matter has any reviews, setlists, guests, etc about last nights show in San Francisco. It was on Gregg's birthday and featured the amazing guitar talents of Devon and Duane, plus a spectacular supporting cast, anyone there? Any comments? Im dying here!

I was there! It was a fun show. Duane Betts really shined. His band played the first hour. The're version of Hot Lanta was one of the highlights of the night for me and I liked his original songs too. He also played with Devon Allman, the Dickenson brothers, and Berry Oakley Jr. after his set. I thought the sound mix was a bit muddy for the last half of the show but the music was great. Nice versions of Blue Sky and Midnight Rider were played.

Did Devon perform much/any of the Southern Blood material as he has talked about doing in interviews?

I was there as well. Hot 'Lanta was, well, HOT, probably best song of the night, by Duane Betts and his band. OWO and Blue Sky both really good. Really liked Cody and Luther Dickinson, both excellent musicians and first time seeing either of them live; Brooklyn Allman sang "The Sky is Crying" and she has some pipes. Lots of musicians on stage and it was quite the party. They led us in singing Happy Birthday to Gregg, and that was touching in that it made me ponder how many lives in that room Gregg's had been intertwined with. Devon looks like Gregg and Duane combined and plays a mean guitar. Nice cover of "I'll Be Around" by Devon. Never saw Bobby Whitlock, music started at 9 and we had to leave at 12:40 a.m. and they were still playing!

Here's a Facebook link that includes video of Blue Sky. I thought Duane Betts really channeled his Dad in this. No, I wasn't at the show.

Great to see - that music will live forever

You'd think this would be the place to go to read all about it.... turns out Facebook is!

Here's a YouTube link to Blue Sky for facebook challenged people like myself

Man, that Blue Sky is eerie. Berry Jr is tearing it up on the base and you got Betts and Allman up there. Duane Betts must have eaten musical steroids because he has stepped into a strata that I would have never envisioned. Devon Allman is just...cool. His mix of Duane and Gregg in both looks and style is eerie as well.
These "kids" are doing their daddies proud. For any long time ABB fan, this is a trip of it's own...and I am digging it

Thank you for all the posts about this show- I would have loved to have seen those guys jam together! I'm hoping that they'll take this on the road next year. Devon, if you still check this website, please bring this show to Oregon- the Portland waterfront Blues Festival in July would be perfect!

Nice shot of Duane, Galadrielle, Devon, B.O., Jr. backstage at the show:

Damn, that Blue Sky was tight.
Duane Betts is finding his groove --- best playing I think I've ever heard from him

And Luther Dickinson's solo in the first Blue Sky spot is very tastey. Man can he play.

Yes, he can! I was very impressed with his playing and would definitely go see him again (was my first time).

The Brothers Dickinson are some bad mofo's!!! Raised on LAFE & psychedelic adventures. Frequently take some of their jams OUT, and quote ABB stuff here and there too. Cody's no slouch on guitar as well.
