The Allman Betts Band was on CBS This Morning earlier. Nice performances, particularly their cover of "Midnight Rider."

You can watch it on CBSThisMorning.com.

Chuck Leavell was on also talking about the Rolling Stones upcoming re-release.

All the videos are on CBS News website also.

"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Midnight Rider
This is a very VERY sweet version of a song that is difficult to get right!!

Magnolia Road

All of these are obviously taken from the live web broadcast maybe two weeks ago from The Belly Up Lounge in Solana Beach, CA (San Diego). I watched it and I loved it.

My wife watches that show religiously and she came running into the next room to tell me to change the channel so I could watch it. Chuck was great as always so that was nice. The end I though stunk. It was a nice tribute but that band just doesn't do anything for me.

Duane can emulate his Father's tone like no one else.

They are in desperate need of a vocalist.

Me either. But I wish them well.

I'm digging these guys more and more. That belly up show was worth every penny.

Spare me the obligatory covers and just keep expanding the originals portfolio. It's getting better and better.

I wish they'd have Berry sing more. His voice is the best fit for what they're doing, imo.

I think the voices are fine... they fit the songs they are writing... Duane & Johnny are a very good guitar duo

If I had to nitpick something I think the backline could use a bit more firepower.
