This young Russian Gent peaked my interest when I saw a video of him a few months back. I was happy to see a date pop up for his 1st visit to New York City. He's got 3 CD's out. He plays great solo acoustic and throws in some cool covers, but in a really unique way. There a few new age acoustic stars that get the most out of looping and playing multiple parts.

What a cool guitar, I have to a search it out. Slanted fanning frets, definitely sweet.

Alexandr throws in playing heavy with the tuning knobs. Rather than reaching back or forward to grab a note he grabs them by tuning up and down. He also mid song changes to an alternate tuning at times. Very innovative and very nice. I love it. He explains for those who aren't familiar with the style, it may come off as coy to those familiar, but the crowd loved it. Solo acoustic in an intimate setting, What else can you ask for. Great venue, Great Staff. Great Stuff.
