A lot of good ones on that list allmanfan21. I have several of those too!

Bought Wild & Precious Life from Diane Betts himself when he and Palmetto Motel played a club in my town here earlier this year.

He said Palmetto Motel is the name he gave Dickey's guest house on Dickey's estate. Duane mentioned some of the musicians who have spent the night there but right now the only one I remember is Gregg Allman.

Duane indicated that is where he lives these days but he's on the road most of the time or on vacation somewhere.

Some greats mentioned. I like that Overkill album a lot. New Peter Gabriel is really good too and wasn't mentioned

@robertdee How was Duane & company's show?...Appearance at Nectar's in  Burlington suffered from lame rhythm section, while opener came out to sing "Stand Back" and had to read the lyrics?!?!?

@dovetail They sounded tight and polished to me. Did just a very few Allman Brothers songs. Blue Sky, Jessica, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed and Southbound. A few from Allman Betts Band albums and about everything from Duane's new album.

Pedro was on bass though Berry Oakley is on the new CD. I was told the black guy on drums was a late addition. I think the drummer he replaced recently died. I too some weeks later read in a review the rhythm section with Pedro and the new drummer were not holding it down as expected.

Duane then later Johnny were asked by me if Allman Betts Band is still together and Duane said they recently did the shows already on the books and delayed due to Covid and some new shows have been booked coming up in late 2023. Johnny said Allman Betts cut back last few years but still together and they are all still real good friends. And some newly booked Allman Betts Band shows saluting Gregg and Dickey's music are happening later this year. ( this was early August 2023)

But when that latest Allman Betts Band tour kicked off to my disappointment Berry Oakley wasn't part of that either. It was Tal ( young lady who was in Jeff Beck's band a few years ago) and she is a fine bass player and sang Ain't Waisting Time No More.

So apparently Berry Oakley doesn't work with those guys now and I've seen NOTHING to say why! To explain what happened.

When Allman Betts suddenly stopped touring about three years ago I thought maybe it was Devon and Duane but I've heard since it was Devon and Berry. But that is unconfirmed. Apparently rumor. I've seen nothing official.

Has anyone heard The Stones or Paul Rodgers albums? From what I have read, The Stones album is supposed to be very good and I love Paul Rodgers,

@lee Only the Stones. And it is surprisingly good. The band was well pleased with how it turned out.

@lee No Lee Chuck is not on it. I was surprised and disappointed he isn't.

Bill Wynan their original bass player was invited to play on one track and he accepted.

Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney are on it.

Charlie plays drums on two tracks so this album has been years in the making.

It was recorded in two different studios in New York City plus Los Angeles, London and the Bahamas.

@robertdee

Yeah, you may recall me posting that very question because I probably read exactly what you did. I'm sure you've read his autobiography and he talks about them doing stuff like this with him over the years. He seems to take it all in stride if they call up and ask/tell him to come to rehearsal for whatever is next.
