I was baffled when this was only a rumour. More baffled when there was actually talk of rehearsals and i'm still flabbergasted that they are actually going through with this. Wouldn't pay 10 - 15 bucks or so for this, for the same reason i don't pay that kind of money for a tribute band. What a friggin' travesty. I hope this turns into a major fail.

"Axl Rose to fill in on remaining AC/DC tour dates

AC/DC have confirmed their Rock Or Bust tour will resume next month with Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose on vocals.

Rose is on board for the European leg of the tour and will also be on hand for the 10 postponed US dates which will be rescheduled in due course.

AC/DC say: "AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years. We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures.

"As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian's decision to stop touring and save his hearing.

"We are dedicated to fulfilling the remainder of our touring commitments to everyone that has supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfil this commitment.

"AC/DC will resume their Rock Or Bust world tour with Axl Rose joining on vocals. The European stadium tour dates begin on May 7 in Lisbon, Portugal and run through June 12 in Aarhus, Denmark as previously announced.

"Following this European run of dates with AC/DC, Axl Rose will head out on his Guns N' Roses, Not In This Lifetime summer stadium tour. The 10 postponed U.S shows will be rescheduled and announced imminently, also with Axl Rose."

Johnson was ordered to stop touring last month, with doctors saying he risked going deaf if he continued to perform. Rose, who reunited with Slash and Duff McKagan in GNR earlier this year, has been rumoured to be Johnson's replacement for a number of weeks."

I dont know what to think about all of this as a life long AC/DC fan. You would think they would hold out to see how Brian's hearing issue pans out, but maybe there is more to this than what we know. Maybe there is irrevesible damage. I would like to hear from Brian. To much money on the table to lose by not playing the remaining gigs?

On the Axl side of it, he broke his leg a few weeks ago, and just played two shows in Vegas sitting in the Dave Grohl Foo Fighter thrown. I have not heard him sing lately , but reports from the Vegas shows he sounded pretty good. Not sure how he would hold up doing all the GnR and AC/DC stuff. All of those tunes seem to be pretty demanding on the vocal cords. It seems like the trend anymore is to have 2-3 days off between gigs for some vocalists to ease the stress on the pipes, so maybe that will help him. So I guess its possible.

With AC/DC making a statement like this,
AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years. We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures.

"As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian's decision to stop touring and save his hearing.

it sounds like BJ is out of the band. Like I mentioned, I wonder if there is more going on than whats being told. Brian has been in the band for 36yrs , so the way this is going down, I kinda scratch my head only knowing so little info.

AC/DC guitarist Angus Young joined Guns N’ Roses onstage last night at Coachella to perform two of his own band’s songs – and show people just what it’s going to sound like when Axl Rose takes over as lead vocalist for the legendary Australian group.
