WarEagleRK. I'm not sure what mechanism exists now to make sure the a portion of the money would go to the band or charity. Or what is the band. Last I read about the band's structure, the original members owned the band and later members and even Burt Holman were employees. Jaimoe is the only one left and maybe Dickey. Dickey received a large sum of money from the band in 2000 and Gregg replaced Dickey as President of the business.

Perhaps the estates of the late original members would get a cut. The masks with Warren and Derek on them perhaps would be issues to take up with them individually.

Of course song writing royalties is a different matter.

That's a fair point but no matter what the situation someone will try and make a quick buck. I guess it's down to the individual and their conscience to decide.

These are crummy, bottom-of-the-barrel ripoffs, IMHO. The worst are the Jaimoe and the Warren masks, which don't even show the faces of the Brothers. The Fillmore East mask isn't much better, with some faces missing.
