In September 1971 The Allman Brothers Band performed three shows in Texas.
The ABB is looking for photos, recordings, ticket stubs, T shirts and memorabilia from these three shows. If anyone has something they would like to share please contact us via https://buff.ly/3g92Z48

Anyone know about these shows? Could this be prep for another archival release or just a Big House display?

I can just see the press release:

In September of 1971 the Allman Brothers Band rolled into Texas for a 3 night run. In an amazing coincidence, each night a different fan dropped a running cassette recorder into an open well outside the venue. These amazing recordings capture the band at the peak of their powers - playing the same 8 songs each night. This box set will present 3 versions of those 8 songs - each recorded from different depths in the distant well depending on where the cassette deck came to rest. "Yes, the recordings show the limitations of their source material, but the different acoustics resulting from how the audio echoed off the stone walls of the open well provides a fascinating aural experience. You haven't heard Trouble No More until you've heard 3 more versions recorded from the bottom of a well on a warm Texas night 50 years ago" said a band spokesman...

Who profits from these "New" releases?

And why now when demand/interest is at its lowest point?

Might be the same 8 songs every night and 3 different versions of Trouble No More is the highlight but they played it better than any other lineup.

Got recording of later lineup that tops this? No!!

Oh right, the Big House only show. I'm guessing there's a reason for that.
