ABB American University 12/13/70 show to be released on vinyl

Most of us here probably have this show on CD already-I know I do; but they're going to re-release it on vinyl.

😛 😛 😛

Mine just got delivered today - it is heavy. Now I just need to get my turntable up and running!!

Anyone else have problems playing side 1? Had no problems with the second disc -sides 3&4, but my turntable wont pick up anything on side 1- needle flies across the record. Tried on second turntable and same thing happened. anyone?

Yeah, had skating issues on the 1st lp. Was hoping it was just static and dustballs were de-grooving the needle...but, we may have a problem here.

Received this vinyl release today and previous posts scared the sh*t out of me. Returning a malfunctioning 2LP back tot the USA would be a major bummer. So i rushed to my stereo equipment and played it. Fortunally no skipping / skating across the record on any of the 4 sides. Plays perfect. Looks peachy. The cover itself has the same issues than many other CD re-releases on vinyl: it looks like no original cover art design has been used but they tried to blow up the original CD sized cover to the 12" by 12" sized LP format. Makes images on the LP cover more blurry / pixilated. Although it's the same here it isn't so bad. The front cover more looks like a bit like an image from a comic book / cartoon.

My copy played fine on all 4 sides.

For anyone else having problems, i contacted Newbury and they seemed to be familiar with the problem. are sending me a new disc immediately. They were very helpful, and did not even ask for the defective disc back, which leads me to believe that they are aware of the issue.
