I always find this period interesting to listen to. Still solid and mostly together, and not as bad as some of the 1976 shows I've heard. Moments here and there, but definitely not as engaged.

This is a very good show. I got to say the worst of the ABB is still the best of em all.

Nice Win, Lose or Draw from Gregg and a smokin Jessica from Chuck

I was at this show. About 10 rows back center. I vaguely recall bits and pieces of it, 45 years ago and I was pretty high.

When I have the time I'm going to take a stroll down memory lane.

Thanks for posting it. Cool

The audio quality is very good for a 1975 show. I have a handful of insanely bad audience recordings of Deep Purple from around that time, and some of them are unlistenable. I wonder what the source of this one is.

Jim I have a dim memory of clips of a 1975 ABB concert for Jimmy Carter being on ABC's 20/20 or whatever it was called and Geraldo was with ABC then and hosted the segment but have no idea if this is the show. But Grealdo and Jimmy Carter do talk at the beginning.

Isn't Chuck Leavell an amazing player. He is everywhere on every song. Solos, hot backing, rhythm, fills....doing it all.

Jaimoe when complimenting the 1976 live album Wipe The Windows, Check The Oil, Dollar Gas talked about how he, Lamar Williams and Chuck really enjoyed that lineup and it was unique and special in the band's history. Then Jaimoe said ' Too bad it didn't last too long. We had all these problems and distractions going on that if just fell apart. Good while it lasted"

If someone told me today that I'd hear a liberal Geraldo Rivera on stage with the Allman Brothers Band, I'd have told them they were insane.

For real! Not only that but the other remarkable thing is Geraldo gives a rousing endorsement and introduction to none other than Jimmy Carter!

It's hard to imagine now that Geraldo used to be a pretty cool guy - he even befriended John Lennon and helped get him to do the One to One benefit concert that would turn out to be his last ever full concert performance (Live in NYC).

Wow...this has to be the best show they did in ‘75.. Dickey is completely locked in and on fire! Gregg sounds kinda loaded but still kicking ass. Great Win, Lose or draw...which I really like n find underrated. Back to Dickey...what time he has in this era; clean n sweet. Vintage Betts. His interplay w Chuck (who really shines here) is awesome. Nevertheless is a funky jam...digging it. So this might be the coolest Jessica I’ve ever heard...Betts throwing that big-time Blue Sky tease in there!!! A nod to Jessica’s mom?...I’m assuming that Sandy Blue Sky was Jessica’s mother. Too cool if so! Killer groove... Lastly...chuck blew my mind w his solo on Les Brers; holy shit! Mushroom heaven...

Capt. Skipper remastered this show, his version is great, I have had it for a long time. You should be able to pick up a copy in the vines or trades section.

Yes Gregg is buzzing at this show. Loaded. And Gregg admits in his book that he was a heroin addict then and Cher found his works and it pissed him off at Cher for sticking her nose in his very personal business. Gregg said he just told her he was addicted to narcotics but she said her doctor would write him a big prescription for Quaaludes and after sleeping for 3 weeks he would wake up cured. I remember when the Win, Loose or Draw album was being recorded, rumors were circulating that Gregg didn't give a damn about it or the band in the wake of his solo albums, solo tour, Queen of Hearts not allowed on Brothers and Sisters and meeting Cher and moving in with her and getting married in Las Vegas. And in his book Gregg admits that as much as he enjoyed the Brothers and Sisters tour and how good he thought the band sounded with Chuck and Lamar even though it was so different than what they were with Duane and Betry, by early 1975 he and Dickey were not getting along and he and Butch were not getting along because of the solo tours and Gregg meeting Cher. So yes Gregg was using narcotics big time in 1975.

But after Butch turned on Dickey in 2000, he was telling the press that everyone had cleaned up but Dickey. Dickey was a dictator, a bully, couldn't play well anymore and was an alcoholic and drug addict. I had to read it twice because it sounded like Gregg he was talking about except the bully dictator part.

Im not sure Gregg ever got off drugs. Once Butch let it slip but later clarified it was a lot of prescription medication and pot.
