Welcome to the Lockdown Lowdown, my new series of Video Interviews. Volume One - Blackberry Smoke's CHARLIE STARR is live now. Please welcome Charlie and thank you for batting lead off!

I am still ironing out technical problems, but feel good about this start. Duane Betts will be next.

Nice, I love Charlie, he's a creative musical dynamo. I look forward to the Duane Betts upcomer. Your BBS interview at the Cutting Room was nice. I'm hoping the Spirit of The South tour still happens w/the Allman Betts Band. I follow on facebook but soooo many things posted and not enough patience to weed through it all I appreciate you posting, I'll make sure to catch these, I'd love to see some guitars break out with a rare musical moment captured. Thanx Brother.

Just watched a video with Charlie sharing a number of thoughts, his playing influenced by a lot of peeps I never would have imagined. Joe Perry, AC DC and Mick & Keith. ..He was playing a '57 Les Paul and was squeezing out some of Duane's tone and feel..... He has quite a set of riffs in his toolbox, I for one am impressed...
Cool

Interviewed Duane Betts yesterday and will have it up in the next few days.

I have a bunch of these lined up and they will be great... but my A/V setup and skills suck. Trying to make them look and sound better, but it's coming along.

I think a Doug Gray interview and his recollections about the old days at Capricorn would be sweet..
Cool

Doug would be cool. I don't know him. Could surely find him with a few phone calls. started this with people in my contacts list, but will keep going if it gets some traction. I could use some A/V assistance though.

Great interview with Charlie Starr!! Saw Blackberry Smoke on last year's Southern Rock Cruise, and they did indeed Smoke onstage!!! Met Charlie briefly as well. Real nice guy!!
