I'm guessing it's either Bobby Vinton, Bobby Sherman, or Bobby Goldsboro. Which is it?

Michael Schenker, Michael Anthony, Michael Bolton, Michael McDonald ?
The Band

Starts a thread on the ABB site...but doesn't know who the Hourglass is. Doesn't have any work from that guy Government Mule.
Interesting...
So let's see....regarding the observation above and the assumption that you are German my first guess would be:
Lynyrd Skynyrd
But they have already been previously mentioned as "L.S.". Also unlikely that a Skynyrd fan never heard of Molly Hatchett. So probably you are not a hardcore "Southern Rock" fan.
Since symphonic / prog rock has a lot of die hard fans in Germany i would therefor also make these guesses:
Barclay James Harvest
Jethro Tull
Genesis
Yes
Electric Light Orchestra
Or else:
Frank Zappa
......or maybe some krautrock:
Kraftwerk
Tangerine Dream
The Scorpions

Where's the d*mn dealer? Time to call the hand!

DTB or Mule

Maybe it's "Various"

Zak Wilde

oops... Zakk Wylde / Ozzy Osbourne

Congratulations ABBDutchFan, you're the winner, but you also cheated by guessing like 10 bands at once. It is - of course - Frank Zappa!
I have the DVD "Does humor belong in music?", where the last song is his interpretation of Whipping Post. I liked that song very much and wanted to know where it comes from. I found out and got the Fillmore East album and listened to it for roughly 100 times (no joke!). That's why I'm here
