Dickey wouldn't let his wife clean up the balled up paper, cigarette butts and beer cans on the floor and as Dickey continued to struggled to find the melody for his new song, he began playing to the energy and playful interaction of his daughter Jessica with the items on the floor and bingo!! He had what he wanted.
I assume that is correct. That is how Dickey told it several times in interviews.
