A Duane appreciation

"Duane Allman's greatest talent was his generosity." My appreciation for Music Aficionado is coming tomorrow... I was just asked to hold off posting Url as they are tweaking... so editing out and will add Weds.
Prompted by the vinyl release of Skydog vinyl box set but I tried to cover it all. Some cool stuff from Thom Doucette in here.

as always Thank you so much, really looking forward to it.

Can't wait!

Thank you, Alan. I can't wait. We are blessed to have you share your stories, and insight, on the Brothers.

Thank you for the kind words.

Let me know what you think. I don't love the headline, which I did not write But like the piece.

Great article Alan

Fantastic... Thom D really did add some new, or maybe just reaffirmed, thoughts on Duane as a person and musician. WE are very fortunate to have you around, Alan.

Hi Alan. Enjoyed the article as well your books. All through the years Thom Ace Doucette always came through as a fascinating person. Seems like he has been around the block a few times. Now that would make a cool article as well.
Steve

Thom is one of the sharpest, most compassionate, interesting people I have ever met. His insights about Duane and the ABB are off the charts... and about so many other things.... He is very private and doesn't talk publicly a lot... I am beyond thankful that he spoke to me for the book. It was very last minute after years of effort and added so much.
He got very emotional when discussing this stuff... Couldn't sit still because he got so juiced up. We conducted our main interview while walking MILES at a fast pace through South Philadelphia... he cried when we talked about Duane's death and had to take a pause... We did subsequent followup interviews on the phone. He would not do that until after he had met me in person.
I have some more interesting, insightful stuff from him that I will find ways to share.
