9/19/98-Great Woods

i reacall seeing/listening live on pay per view.
decided i needed a Jack & Dickey fix......Ahhhhhhh.....that feels good...Dickey with that familiar ringing clear perfectly rounded bell tone shining.
and Jack....man,he is something...everytime i listen i remember how unique his playing, sound and ability are...pure excellence...

I attended that show. A friend recorded it on VHS tape for me. Still have the tape though it's starting to wear a bit from age and use. I'd love to see that performance officially released on DVD.
Just the audio here...

I have a DVD (vhs to DVD copy) of this, if anyone is interested I'll start a vine up.

Vine it up ! i would sign up

Babe, I'm in too for this!
Dan

i was also there and would love a copy….what's a vine and how do i get one? techno challenged

July 3,1997 is a way superior show for the Jack/Dickey combination,as I learned by finding it on the YouTube link posted on this thread.
That show is blazing....just incredible energy, raw power....

Wow, thanks for posting that. I was at Walnut Creek July 3rd 97. First time I saw the ABB in the U.S. Not heard it since. Can't wait to relive this.

The Brothers had a special knack for choosing great musicians when a spot opened up. Chuck, Lamar, Dangerous Dan, David Goldflies, Warren, Woody, Johnny Neal, Oteill, Jack, Derek, Jimmy and anybody else I might have missed, understood the shoes they were filling when they stepped on stage as part of The Allman Brothers Band. I can't describe to you the enormous void that The Brother's left in my life, when they stepped off The Beacon stage last October 29th. Solo incarnations of the various members will not fill the void.
