5 cities to get Gregg Allman Laid Back Festival

Wonder when we'll get some ticketing information?

I often try and go to Colorado in the fall and since I never saw ABB at Red Rocks I guess this is as close as I can get now. My radar is up on this one. Thanks.

In case any Chicago folks check in on the thread there is a presale for cheap tickets now.

Went last year at Jones Beach was quite fun.........so hpefully get back to long Island for 2nd annual.............

Keep it on the radar nebish. You won't be disappointed. Have fun!
An added bonus: if the Buffs are playing at home around the time, you should go too. Folsom Field is a beautiful stadium. You can't beat the location.

this is all good news, going back to jones beach again... great time last year ~~enjoy!

Hopefully the list of artist will be released soon. I am right in the middle of Nashville and Atlanta so hopefully I'll get to at least one.

Red Rocks................. hmmmmm.............

The Northerly Island venue in Chicago is about as laid back a place as you can find for a show in this energetic city. Beautiful setting in the heart of the museum campus right along the recreational-friendly shores of Lake Michigan.
Don't know of another big city that has anything quite like it.

I would like to purchase tickets for Chicago now because that is a great price! Can kids go and if so do they need a ticket (4 and 6 yrs old at that time)
Can anyone give a little info about this festival last year? One stage? Start and end times? Any idea what bands might play this year? Thanks.

By all means, if anyone gets a change to come to Chicago for this, do so. Obviously a great city and this venue is awesome. Great site, beautiful view of the skyline of the city when the sun goes down.
Regarding the "cheap tickets" for the presale, don't let that term fool you. The two that popped up for me were in the second section on the ground, two rows up. If it really starts at 4:00 as is advertised, I think you will get your money's worth for $29.75 before the damn TM fees. Grr...
Curios to see what other bands are playing. And who knows, there is always the chance of Buddy Guy or someone like that showing up. It has happened before. 😉

I went to this at Jones Beach last summer. The venue was fantastic and without knowing what the lineup will be the venue is probably the main draw at this point. We tailgated for awhile and went in for Hornsby, Doobie Bros and Gregg. There were 2 stages, alternating between acts. There was something wrong with Hornsby. Very odd behavior on stage. Doobies were better than I expected, although not in my normal jam band alley. The Southcity Midnight Lady against the backdrop of the full moon over Jamaica Bay was a fine moment. Sherrard sat in for one song and elevated the band. Gregg's band was solid. I saw them again at City Winery in the NYC a few months later. Given the very little alteration of the set lists, I am unclear if I would see him again outside this festival context and this festival depends on the other participants.

The Lineup for Atlanta has been announced

Got my tickets for Jones beach. Hope to see some familiar faces there.

I figured that when the Atlanta lineup was announced (I walked out on ZZ Top last year), that this was destined for a Groupon. Did not expect it so soon though. The reserved option is uncovered seats.

Just got my Chicago tickets in the mail last night.
I read that the same lineup previously posted (ZZ Top, Blackberry Smoke, Kevn Kinney, Jamioe, etc) will be in place in Chicago. I am curious to see how the two stages are going to work. Their isn't much room in the venue unless they put a small stage in the concourse before you get to the seating area. I have seen this done at other amphitheaters over the years.
Regarding the question involving kids, I think you need a ticket for youngsters over the age of two.

does anyone know how to access the Early bird tickets?
thanx!
