3/26/19 Music and conversation with Duane Betts and Devon Allman

I don't have to remind you guys what March 26th is. On that holy day I will be interviewing Devon Allman and Duane Betts on stage at the Cutting Room NYC as part of the BackStory interview series. it will be followed by an intimate full band performance by the Allman Betts Band. It's a small place and I do believe it will sell out.

And for those of you not in the NYC area, it will be livestreamed... Stay tuned for info on that.

Thanks much, Alan.

Thanks for the heads up! Will watch live stream.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Appreciate the heads up!
I likely would not have known about this were if it not for this site

I'm in.

Thank you Alan

Looking forward to this. I hope you can spend a little time with Johnny Stachela. Kid can bring it!

Thanks for the info, Alan!
Last weekend I saw The Devon Allman Project with Duane and Johnny at the Destination Daytona Pavillion in Daytona Beach. I was seriously moved by this group! The music is real (no major effects) and performed with such a casual but dedicated vibe. The entire band was engaging and super approachable during and after the show. I've seen LOTS of people perform Allman Brothers material through the years with the series of family bands. But, when Devon and Duane performed ABB tunes, they just seemed to do it with a higher level of comfort. Also, you really see the difference with Devon's rock influence and Duane's more countryish/melodic influence.
Damn, can those boys hit the note!
Cant wait to see the next version with Oakley. I'll have to travel a bit as no Fl dates as of yet.
Loved the book, Al. Keep us posted on the interview and stream.

any info on the livestream?

That was a great interview session. Thank you!
At first glance Berry kinda looks like Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The bass he was playing....I did not get a good shot of it but it looks like a Gibson LP semi hollowbody/es/Florentine style. Pretty cool. I have the Epi Florentine.
Looking forward to the tour.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

As always Nice Job Alan!
