20/20 is airing a story on Midnight Rider right now...

Pretty interesting...

Just watched ...wtf..so sad

Here's a recap with clips. The middle clip actually contains footage showing the accident (cut before impact) from the train cab. You can hear the train horn blaring as the train approached the bridge. Aside from Sarah's parents - and Sarah, herself - my deepest sympathy goes to the train conductor.

A very sad afterthought - there is a very similar railroad trestle located at Altamaha Regional Park - less than 20 miles away as a crow flies , that has not had a train on it in years! The track actually dead-ends at the park and it spans the exact same river.

Thanks for posting that link, I couldn't get the link in the other thread to open but this one did. I watched the first two of the three videos in the link. Looks like Randall Miller has a history of arrogance, negligence and disregard for safety. I hope he gets what he deserves. Sarah Jones' family got what they did NOT deserve.

Why is Guilliard suing CSX and the local landowners? She and the crew were trespassing on the track, and what do the local landowners have to do with the production?

Goin' fishing. Never know what you might get when the day is done.

Standard procedure is to find the deepest pockets.

Other than the video clips, the 20/20 story did not present much new information.
The video of Randall Miller testifying repeatedly that "it was not my job" made him look pretty bad. Seeing the video of the tracks and how little room there was on the bridge was really sad... it was a death trap.
