I recently talked to the owner of a small label in Germany (MiG) which issues past Rockpalast shows (eg double DVD DBGS in 1978 and 2008).
I asked him whether he has also contact to another German TV station which had "Ohne Filter" (without filter). And he has!
During their 1991 German tour, the ABB was in that show in Baden-Baden (TV studio). I have a VHS from this show (twice around one hour with a brief interview of Butch and Dickey). This show is floating around in bad DVD quality (and is also on Youtube).
I was wondering whether it would make sense to have an official DVD + 2CD version in the market and whether ABB fans would have an interest.

I'd get the album for sure, though I can rip the audio from the youtube video for free at the moment.

I hate the DVD bundles, it's like forcing an obsolete home phone line with cable and internet - the medium peaked about 5 years ago. Though, personally I just like to listen to shows, I don't need to watch them (I'm a short folk, so even when I'm at the shows I'm usually not seeing anything anyways). But I know there is a market for DVDs of shows out there, I just don't think there will be for long - it will all be streaming or digital download, if it isn't already.

I know it would be better quality (and I work with video/audio so prefer the best quality), but if I can pull up the youtube video on my TV, why would I pay to have it sit on my shelf?

Good idea ! I would love to have a good quality DVD and CD of this concert.
Bad bootlegs are available, at least in Europe f. i. here:

I think it would also be in the interest of the ABB to have official good quality releases by the ABB itself,
instead of other people making money with bootlegs !!!

This show has already been released on DVD and CD a few years ago by the dubious Immortal label. A label specialised in low budget releases of TV broadcasts. Just like the current tsunami of "archive" FM radio broadcast releases by specialised labels. I personally think they do not by law qualify as bootleg labels illegally releasing content but they gained the rights to these recording from who ever is the owner of them (television / radio networks). Maybe they are therefor fully legal if sold outside the USA and are often offered on USA webstores and real stores as "imports". Really grey area stuff.

But back to the aforementioned Immortal releases of this show. Legal or illegal......? Maybe at least dubious but lot of stores who do not offer bootlegs have them in their stock. But Immortal is one of those labels that in the end just want to make an easy buck without bothering about the content. Cover art often looks cheap but the content itself is the most dissappointing. Quality of the original TV broadcast (from 24 years ago) was much better than the CD / DVD released by Immortal. Poor picture quality suggests a very poorly executed transfer from an old VHS tape without any digital improvements / remastering. If remembered correctly they are even in mono! Show is also incomplete because Whipping Post is cut (which i think happened with a re-run and not the original broadcast. I think it's released without the aid of the original German television network. Many of their "Ohne Filter" broadcasts have (just like many "Rockpalast" shows) been released officially and much more properly. Of course many of these TV-broadcasts from the Seventies lack the picture quality of modern day productions but many of them are awesome.
