1989 to about 1993 according to Warren was an especially hot period for the Allman Brothers.  

I agree. I saw shows in 1989, 90, 91, 92, 93 and the energy level was intense.  Anyone else notice that? 

Dickey was the one keen about getting Berry Oakley,  Jr to go out with the band. He gave Berry his father's Fender bass that Dickey kept with his guitar collection which is about 40 guitars including Duane's resonator guitar used on Little Martha.  

Berry is actually Berry Duane Oakley. His father of course was Raymond Berry Oakley 3rd.
