1970 CONCERT GOER TALKS ABOUT THE ALTLANTA POP FESTIVAL

This YT channel is the one that posted a song from Atlanta Pop a couple of years ago, which subsequently disappeared. At 11:40 the interviewer discusses the state of the ABB footage.

I guess it be released when we are all dead.

It doesn't make any sense to sit on this stuff while the original fan base decreases daily due to age and whatnot. I love the Allman Brothers Band, don't get me wrong. But this is a missed opportunity

@jack_frost A great deal of the current generation of music listeners don't even know who the Beatles were. I'm not making this up. To sit on this footage forever ... like leaving fresh produce sitting on a shelf. Stuff's gonna rot before it ever gets consumed!

@rusty it's very sad. The Allman Brothers Band isn't like the Grateful Dead is/was, with Dick's Picks coming out a few times a year and an analog (albeit Dead & Company are done now) out there on the road keeping the music out there in the public consciousness. Sure, Gov't Mule and Tedeschi Trucks Band occasionally throw in some ABB material, but it's not the same thing. As more time passes, less people will be around that could have appreciated seeing this footage (like my friend Bob/playallnite who died of esophageal cancer a little over a year and a half ago) and that is what is really sad.

It looks like Steve Rash is the one who filmed the footage? If that’s correct, I don’t see anything online indicating he’s passed away as the interviewer in the video says.
The interviewer insinuated that no one has paid enough to be able to obtain the film footage. I wonder what the price tag is?
