Oh no!

I saw this line up when i was 14 at Seton Hall's Walsh Auditorium in NJ. I thought the keytar was out of place then as i do now. The band was great otherwise from what i remember.

I saw um 3 days later 12/19/81 in the Boston Garden with Molly Hatchet opening.

Everybody laughs about this era, including myself. But I have to ask, was there ever a more rockin jammier keytar than this?

I've read a bunch of the books on the band, but I do not recall much being said about the keytar.
What do we know of how it came to be in this band anyhow?
Who thought it was a good idea?
Why did it cease to exist?
