I was lucky enough to make it to 4 out of the 6 shows last year. I miss the Brothers terribly but I'm not sure they would ever be able to duplicate the intensity and emotion that they performed with a year ago. Ending the run with the final set ending at 1:30 am on October 29th was as emotional as rock n roll can ever get.

I made it to 3 of the last shows and while 10/27 was intense, 10/28 was an epic show and a masterful ending to the ABB. I wil give them a listen again next week as a reminder too!

I, too, was very fortunate in 2014. I was able to make seven shows at the Beacon; four in March and three in October. Try as I might, I could not get in on 10/28.......I said my good byes on the night prior. All of the nights were special in October, but 10/28 was over the top special.....

I've seen plenty of shows since 10/27/14, many at the Beacon, but nothing rivals the ABB at the Beacon. They were one of the finest live bands of the era.......and I'm happy to have made so many of them over the years.

Thanks to Mike Solo I attended my last Allman Brothers show on 10/22.

Been listening to it yesterday and today in the car.

My summer just didn't seem the same without a road trip to Darien for a tailgate with good friends and then the best band in the land.

Great memories over the years.

I often wonder why there was no video, recording,or webcast of the last show.
With the technical advances since 1969 why not. I just don't think the XM rebroadcast
was fair to fans that supported this band for over 40 yrs. Maybe it just didn't fit somebody
business model. O well

I made the last two shows in October and two great shows in March. The Penultimate show, the 27th was excellent. I walked out sated and thought to myself, "I can say good bye. I got everything. I'm not missing anything. That was great."

But.

That darn Porkchopbob had previously posted about how he just couldn't miss the last show. That he heard a calling. I heard that calling too and dialed up Stubhub. I also incurred the added expense of a hotel on the Upper West Side. It was a lot of money.

The final show was worth every last dime.
