You all may have heard about the two times the Allman Brothers Band let me select Peachy peeps to climb on a tour bus, travel with the Band around the country and have unprecedented access to everything ABB. If not, I'll be happy to re-tell the tale. During the second trip several of the "Real Trippers" were chilling outside the bus, jamming on their guitars. No one noticed Dickey and his pup Mugs heading towards the bus from our hotel until, surprise!, he was right there with them. Dickey was relaxed and gracious with the group, chatting for about 15 minutes before leaving. As he turned to go he whispered to me, "Let's see Gregg Allman do that." Boys will be boys!
