My brother is way into bourbon - for his "retirement".  He is buying a lot of it.  He watches some bourbon youtube channels.  The other day he commented on a post there - and he won a chance to win a bottle.  He answered 5 questions correctly, and won a bottle of Macallan 30 - scotch which is worth $4000 - $6000 dollars a bottle.  I will be going to his house this summer for golf and bourbon - and maybe a taste of really expensive stuff.

I've been thinking about traveling to Chicagoland this summer too.... Smile

Buddy was great.  Had his son and Ronnie Baker Brooks come out for the last couple of songs.  Still a lot of energy for being 86 years old ... New keyboard player replacing the late Marty Sammon was a young guy and very good ... the backup was drummer/producer Tom Hambridge along with the new keyboard player.  They were good - played about half an hour, then a half hour break, and then Buddy played for 1.5 hours.

Wott a great game!  We had seats 17 rows from the ice right at the goal line on the side.  Hawks gave up a quick goal, then tied it.  Gave up another goal, down 2-1.  With 2 minutes left in the game, a Las Vegas player lofted it out of the rink, 2 minute penalty.  Hawks pull the goalie and score the tying goal.  Into overtime.  Hawks have the puck, Kane gets a breakaway, and makes the shot! (If he gets traded, this would be his last home game as a Hawk).  Unfortunately, they rule time had expired (although replays showed .01 on the clock).  Would have been a perfect ending to his Chicago career.  They go into a shootout, and Vegas missed all 3.  Hawks missed the first 2 (including Kane), but Tyler Johnson, who had tied the game at 2 made the shot.  Hawks Win!

Woke up to a sneaky surprise snow overnight. 20% in the forecast. Easily got 2-4" light powdery stuff, a skier's dream. Wasn't planning on clearing my sidewalk and driveway today. Fighting

Mid 40's tomorrow, mid 50's Sunday. I Dont Know

Couple of my buddies were going to play golf today - still a little too cool out for me .... but it's coming soon.

The golf show in the south burbs was kind of a bust.  The one is Rosemont is bigger, and Paige Spiranac is going to be there ... not really convenient enough for me to go ...

I see that Lefty is coming to Chicago for a No Mercy Band reunion gig on April 22nd ... hope you guys get to go see him ... must dig out one of his CDs tomorrow and give it a spin ... really enjoyed seeing him at a post Beacon show gig at BB Kings in NYC ... I think that might have been that memorable night in 2006 when Sang and I then went on to Yogi's afterwards until they threw us out to shut down at about 4am
