Played my first round of the year today - 65 degrees - could have done without the 30 mph winds ... still fun to get out.  Lot of like minded people - the course was packed.  Need to play a lot this year to get ready - playing Pebble Beach in August.

I usually play in the low 70’s, any warmer I stay home…. Wink Razz

Interesting, WGN TV this morning had an interview with Jim Belushi.  He has a pot farm in Oregon, and has been in a few movies lately.  He talked about being in the Blues Brothers after John died.  They asked him who he used to listen to, and the first band he listed was the Allman Brothers.

Greetings Earth Creatures! Is it baseball season yet?

Sang, did you see that Oteil is playing Park West on Saturday, May 30? I know that standing for a long time might not work for you.

Early spring came to an end, originally forecast to be a trace to 1" of snow ended up at 8 1/2". Back to the 60's by Wednesday. Have a concert road trip in a couple of weeks with Sandman. Just so Mother Nature doesn't pull any shenanigans around then.

Springsteen is coming to town. I got in the virtual line for tickets on Friday. It said there were over 800 people in line in front of me. The TM said it could be up to an hour of a wait. Yikes! So I waited. Got two pretty decent seats for the venue (which I don't like) for $160 each. Not too bad. I go to check out, and my bill went from $320.00 to $446.38! And the tour is one of those Ani-Kings or No Kings things or whatever they are. Bruce is always good for a political comment or two, but he was never over the top. Hopefully, this tour isn't too political. I can make up a concert setlist of his songs that have political meanings to them.

But who knows if he'll ever tour again so I am looking forward to it.

For a Super Bowl commercial Bruce was flown in to our tiny town airport, taken in a camper through a couple of even smaller towns to the south. Not sure what camera shot that they were looking for but the only thing that made it into the commercial was a front porch shot with the American flag (for like a second or two) taken in Blue Hill, a town of only several hundred people. I think the commercial only ran once because it had something to do with traveling through America and Bruce had recently been cited for a suspected DUI on his motorcycle. All that expense with virtually nothing in return.

I see Tommy Morello (Rage Against the Machine) is on guitar for the tour.

Supposed to rain the next few days - we can probably use it.  Have painters over to paint our living room and hallways - going to take a few days,

The Tinsley show was stellar! Solo acoustic, played almost all of his latest release too.

Been pretty busy lately - Irish parade Sunday, then we had the 2 grandkids for 8-9 hours every day this week.  Hopefully they will start day care next week - we are exhausted!

Been mostly in the 50's & 60's lately even touched 70. Tomorrow temps drop through the day to 4 with 50-70 mph wind gusts. Shocked

Looks like the Chicago area might get pounded by a major snowstorm, buckle up Snagger! Wink

We had heavy winds yesterday - supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow Monday - and I have to pick my wife up at the airport around midnight Monday night.

Droogie and I went to a microbrew to hear some music last night.  We are going to go see Devon Allman's Blues Summit in Hobart, In. at the end of April.  He is going to have Larry McCray and Jimmy Hall with him.

That should be a great show! I haven't seen Larry or Devon in quite a while. I have the Blues channel here and right now the Bruce Katz Band is on. It's really good. I know he's played with both Gregg and Butch in his groups.

Shows on my radar: Bruce Springsteen (ouch, those were pricy), Oteil & Friends (with Steve Kimock & Lamar), The Steepwater Band with Backyard Tire Fire (I love this band), The Guess Who with Don Felder opening and maybe a couple of others.

Snowing lightly here and very windy. I don't mind it as long as the streets remain good to drive on.

Next show I'm considering is Gov't Mule with Larkin Poe opening. Major downside is it's standing room only, not sure I'd be willing to do that for three to four hours.

Since my wife is out of town I have been cranking the stereo again - been a while.  Been watching the 2 nights that Clapton sat in at the Beacon.  I have to pick her up at the airport after midnight tonight - hope her flight doesn't get delayed.  It was 57 degrees and thunderstorms yesterday, and now there is about an inch of snow and it's in the 20's.  Supposed to snow more and blow with 40 mph winds.  Patiently waiting for spring ...
