Posted by: @sangA couple from our neighborhood invited us to go see Peach Jam, an ABB tribute band. Going Oct. 3. Seeing Blackberry Smoke this Sunday night.
You may recall me posting several months ago about seeing an ABB tribute band. It was them. They are REALLY good. Droogie and I went.
That same night at Martyr's, John Kadlecik's "Furthermore - Grateful Dead and Beyond" is playing. Rob Barraco is on keys, and with John-Paul McLean on bass. He plays with Melvin Seals and The Jerry Garcia Band. That should be a good show.

Block.
Saw Blackberry Smoke last night - they were fun - they really rocked.
Going to see Peach Jam in a little bit - hope Lee was right ...
Well. Lee was right. 😯 Peach Jam was great. Saw them in a small venue setup like a supper club - we were in a booth near the back. They seemed to be having a lot of fun playing, and the crowd was really in to it. I realized how much I miss seeing them - I was singing along and really bopping to the songs. Almost called Lee during Soulshine ...
Wott, did Lee forget his password or something?
Greetings ne'er-do-wells! Busier than all get out lately but enough time to enlighten you all with a post and my presence!

Glad you liked them. Did they have the guy that kinda play Chuck and the keyboards? He was great. I liked the "Dickey" too.
They play around Chicago frequently. Some of them are also in a Dead tribute band.

Well, I'm a grandpa again - Aiden Charles Vogelsang born at 5:22 am this morning. He was 6 weeks early, so he needs to spend a week or 2 in the NICU, but he and his mom are doing well. Got to see him this afternoon - just a little peanut - 5 lbs 1 oz and 18.9 inches.
Saw that Peach Jam is going to be playing Martyr's - they were a lot of fun. Thought it was a little weird that they started with Ramblin' Man. They did do Hot Lanta and Jessica - but no Liz Reed (or Jessica Reed, as Mary called it). 😆
They did play 'I Know You Rider" in the middle of one of the encores. I did read that all of them are in different Chicago area bands ...
Been a little busy lately ... been watching our 2 year old granddaughter a lot - she is so much fun, but exhausting - she is nonstop and I am getting old ... good thing I lost all that weight so I can kind of keep up ...

No better way to spend your time! Heading to a birthday party later today myself, for a grandson.

Bears win, Hawks win! Perfect day. Spent 4 hours cutting up and pickling about 75 jalapeno peppers - going to be cold this week, starting pulling plants from the garden. Still getting tomatoes. Can't believe it's lasted this long. We have been in moderate drought conditions for a while - finally got 1.1 inches of rain yesterday.
Enjoying the fall like weather these last several days. Spring and fall are by far my two favorite seasons.

Been really busy lately - watching my granddaughter a lot since her new brother is still in the NICU. Been having the house remodeled, they are finally done. Going to see some favorite local musicians tonight at a microbrew.
Been going through a lot of accumulated things from over the years, checking old toys on eBay and stumbling across some ABB stuff I'd long forgotten that I had. Anyone need an original Wham-O super ball?
Too bad, you can't have it!

How is everyone? I've been really busy. No grandkids that I am aware of. 😉 I am getting to hear some live music tonight. The Randy Rogers is here. They are from Texas and for whatever reason, they stay geographically in the south.
They are I guess what new country is music today. But they rock so I would say kind of southern rock. Great guys too! They stick around and sign all of the purchased items you want.
