Played golf yesterday and today.  Going to Rockford tomorrow to see Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit.  Then driving to Grand Rapids Monday for a 3 day golf trip.

The laziness of this place is starting to concern me, although it is summer.

Snag - if you are in front of a TV tomorrow afternoon watching the White Sux, look for me in the scout seats. I'll be behind home plate.

If it's a golf trip why isn't it "Fore!" days instead of three?

You needn't have worried. We got screwed on our seats and moved elsewhere. No free refreshments! I really dislike going to that park. For several reasons.

I will say they did a very good job with the 2005 World Series celebration.

And it was as hot as the blazes!

I did get a Mark Buehrle statue as the giveaway. Some guy offered me $20 for it. That was an easy transaction!

I've just been informed that today is NATIONAL SKINNY DIP DAY

I certainly hope that none of you here are tempted ... but it might be a good day to sit on a terrace bar by the beach Wink

Have a great day guys!

Back from the 3-day golf trip to Grand Rapids.   Jason Isbell was great as usual.  We missed part of the block party at the theater, so we missed Rick Nielson's son's band.  Golf trip was nice.  I now have a new milestone - I weigh 199 pounds.  Probably first time since sophomore year of college.  I also now wear size large shirts - may not fit into my old 2x concert shirts anymore ... Cool

Congratulations Mike! Those pounds that you lost, I think I found them.

Yes indeed, well done Mike! ... When they put me on steroids for my sarcoidosis I ballooned up from 190 pounds to 250 in about three months ... thankfully, when they changed my medication a few years ago I went back down to 195 pounds which is where I still am today ... and yes, I also have a load of old concert T shirts in 2XL which I will never wear again ... wish I could replace some of my favourite ABB ones with XL versions!

Saw the BoDeans last night for free in a neighboring town (same one that I volunteer at their food pantry).  Yes, I plan on seeing Smiley tonight, except there is a lot of storms in the forecast for today.

Saw Smiley last night - best show by him so far.  The guy is 85, but has Kate Moss on guitar.  He still has a great voice.  Went to Tinley Park's Block Party this afternoon and saw a Mellencamp cover band - they were good.  Great weekend of music - I love all the free music in the South burbs ...

I might have to get out some ABB vinyl. I bought the 4/7/72 Manley Field House Syracuse Record Store Day release, but I haven't listened to it yet.

Watched HG 2 last night too. Thought it was pretty meh overall. The cameos were the one thing that was pretty entertaining.

Did you ever watch any of those videos I sent you a while back?

Having 2015 Goose Island BCS. Was bottled @ 13.7% alcohol. Way stronger now, tastes closer to a wine than a stout.

I have not.  However I did just put on the DTB Songlines Live DVD - the Joyful Noise 1st song was mind-blowing - almost therapeutic ...

Howdy fellas! Hope everyone is well and good. Finally got access to the site.

I’ve been doing well and living in Massachusetts. It’s fun being a Masshole now. Keeping busy rescuing dogs (involved with a rescue group doing transports and events) and transporting wildlife animals (coyote pup, woodchuck, gosling, and raccoons to name a few).
Still with Siemens, 17 years. It’s fun having 7 weeks time off each year. Seems most people I know don’t has anywhere close to that.

Hiya coot! I thought I posted this; perhaps not. My computer wouldn't play the shows you sent. It worked fine with the audio, just not video.
