Now there's something you never hear ... 😎

Had a new grill delivered today - I am sweating just from wheeling it to the back yard and wheeling the old one to the side of the house. It is hot! Can't wait to see this month's electric and water bill ...
Did get out last night to see a fun 80's band - luckily we sat in the shade and there was a breeze.

A nice cool down today, by like 30 degrees, got some yard work out of the way and then got a nice rain.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Still very hot and uncomfortable here. Very thankful for air conditioning ...

After two weeks of a heatwave it is starting to cloud over here ... we go away on vacation this Friday so I should have known that would happen ...

Hey, everyone!
Kinda scary that DanB is threatening to skinny dip at the top of this page...

coot*! If you're out there: we met 23 years ago today in KC! Lana reminded me of the date and meet-up. Whattaday!

Yes, it was outstanding meeting the both of you (and Stormy was there too). Great show and wonderful experience all around especially backstage after the show and having a nice long friendly conversation with Derek and also Todd Smallie (DTB opened the show)! It was my first meet up with other devotees from the Blue Site!

Wott's up? Hotter than blue blazes here (wottever that means) so I'm indoors with some Rory blaring and a cold Grolsch in hand. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Rory On! (That dude could play!)

Going to my favorite microbrew for their anniversary party - then to another microbrew to hear a couple musicians we really like - and then to an outdoor concert with a southern rock tribute band - wish it was a little cooler out ...
Picked up a case of Yeugling bottles for $14.99 - may have to go get another one at that price.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Pride Parade Day! I am welcoming an estimated 800,000 - 1,000,000 people to the neighborhood for the weekend. That's a lot of people to cram into a relatively small area. It is kind of crazy, which is why a lot of people who live around here leave. The wife wants to pack a cooler and go watch. It ends right where we live, so we can go up to the roof and kind of see it. That's good enough for me. It is kind of fun (and funny), though.

The last time I was in my office was June 26th. I don't go back in until July 8th. And I worked every day.
I can thank NASCAR for that.

"Eagerly" awaiting two more nights of "wartime fireworks." Sounds like a battlefield around here and not everyone observes the time limits for when to stop. Hear some huge ones as late as two and three in the morning.

Lee, that time you got tickets and saw Tedeschi Trucks in a smaller Chicago venue (I sent you the performance video) was that at Reggie's?
Either way if you and/or Sang are interested, Les Dudek is there with his trio on July 26th. Definitely a show worth catching!

Yep. It was a radio show. I took Moid with me. THB and I saw them the night before at The Chicago Theatre and they kind of played the same thing. It was kind of weird. All of these interruptions to talk to a D.J.
Anyway, I do know about the Les Dudek show. I think I mentioned that a while ago and you asked if he was having a band or something.

Thinking about going? He puts on a really nice performance, I'd think given the ABB connection you'd enjoy it.

Then they'd have to revise Traffic's "John Barleycorn Must Die"

Had a nice day yesterday with the whole family over. Got to use my new grill - much better than my old one. We could really use some rain - but my garden is going nuts. I usually don't get peppers and tomatoes until about September - I already have some on the vines ...
