The Allman Brothers Band

Newsletter – Peach & Love-O-Gram – Feb. 14, 2006

Good mornin’ sweet family and Happy Valentines Day!

The Big House Foundation, in conjunction with the Allman Brothers Band, is pleased to announce an auction of front-row tickets for all 13 shows of the ABB’s annual “March Madness” run at Beacon Theatre in New York City. The proceeds of the auction will help establish the Allman Brothers Band Museum in Macon, Georgia.

Here’s what you do – submit your bid for the show (or shows) of your choice at www.bighouseauction.com . Be sure to include all pertinent contact information, and then check back to see if you win! It’s that easy, and your bid, above the cost of the tickets, is completely tax deductible as the Big House Foundation is a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 public charity.

Please note that any bid you place must be for the entire two-ticket package – there are no single ticket bids. Your donation will go a long way in assisting the BHF achieve its goal – opening and maintaining the Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House which, as we’re sure you know, was the ABB’s home and creative font from January, 1970, until early 1973.

Sister and brothers, it just doesn’t get any better than this! The winners of these auctions guarantee themselves front row seats to the ABBeacon show of their choice *and* help guarantee that the band’s musical road will forever lead back to 2321 Vineville Avenue. Pretty trippy!

Also in cooperation with the Allman Brothers Band, the Big House Foundation has three unique pieces of ABB memorabilia up for auction at www.bighouseauction.com :

First is a beautiful black ABB tour guitar, signed by every member of the band before their show at the Tower Amphitheatre in Cleveland, Ohio on July 11, 2005.

Second is a complete Allman Brother’s Instant Live 2004 Summer Set, consisting of 24 shows packaged in an ABB road case, autographed by the entire band. The 2004 Summer Sets completely sold out over a year ago. Now you can own one – and have it autographed too.

Third is a limited edition poster created for the March 22, 2005, “Big House Bash” held at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The Allman Brothers Band, and its entire extended musical family, including Gov’t Mule, the Derek Trucks Band, Oteil and the Peacemakers, Jaimoe’s Jassss Band, and special guest Chuck Leavell performed that night. This poster is signed by every musician who took the stage that spectacular evening.

And now, to our extended family … In the spirit of Valentine’s Day we asked folks if they’d like to share a message of love to their sweeties here in the Peach-O-Gram for thousands and thousands (at last count over 60K) of folks all over the world to see. The following messages, in no particular order, are from those who said, “Yesssss!”:

Damon:

You truly are a beautiful person, in a wistful kind of way. You truly are a tragic beauty.
I have always had a special place for you, not only in my heart, but in my life.
It has become inevitable that we are to remain the sole survivors, the peace makers, the conquerors of good over evil, the remaining two to exercise the true meaning of loyalty, compassion and unselfishness on this earth.
I am glad you are still here with me, by my side. God’s plan has made it this way, anyone who cannot see this must be blind.
With this, I want to say…. Happy Valentine’s Day…

And

Will You….Keep Me By Your Side? Will You See Me As Your Companion? Will You Keep Me As Your Soul-Mate? Forever?

I Love You and I hope you will always remember that!!

Love, Tammy
