**May 12th**
On Tuesday, May 12, the Allman Brothers Band played at the gorgeous Fox Theater on Oakland, CA. In fact, they’re there again tonight. (Shout out: Hi, guys!!) Peach Corps member TurnItUp wrote this review on the Guest Book at https://allmanbrothersband.com :

“Waited 7 years for them to come back. The show was awesome. The Fox is a special place. Here are my thoughts on the band, less about each song, or the set list. The Allman Brothers Band right now is at a level where each song is done with an all out intention to perform it beyond what even they could expect, let alone the audience.

Gregg sang as clear and strong as he ever did…really … He sang each song, as well as the year he recorded them. That is amazing,

Each song when listened to, viewing them as a band without keying on one person, feels like they are ONE, so tight. Yet, it is very difficult to stay focused on the total band, as someone is always standing out, at just about any point in every song. Then as each guitar player does his lead, you literally are watching 2,000 people drop their jaws.

Then, there is a moment during each player’s lead, when they go to a place and everyone holds their breath, for, in those minutes, they step up to a level I do not think any band instrumentally has achieved. I am talking jam bands. OK, I believe any band.

They are syncopated. The guitarist goes beyond, taking the lead 3-4 times higher than you thought the lead could go. All the while, each player is cranking it up to reach the dimension the lead has risen to. They are suspended in that dimension. We all know what it is, looks like, feels like. It is the one where, after 30 years of shows, internally each of us knows exactly what that place is. It is the place we have difficulty trying to explain to others. We know what the zenith of sound is about….the Brothers will play in the zenith arena often thru the night

Oteil is a show by himself. He plays distinct, most of the time right in between the guitars and drums and often he is playing a solo in time with the song. I don’t remember anybody playing as fluid and making it look so easy. He just smiles. Butch on drums is the power house. Mark and Jaimoe make it fantastic.

The band as always, walk ons, just plays, no words, nothing. They play till the end and walk off
leaving everyone in awe of what they just saw … wanting to come back and see them play some more.”

**Every Day**
Finally, every day is a perfect day to extend prayers and positive healing vibes to all those knowingly and unknowingly in need. We recently received a heartfelt request for a special prayer, “Will you ask for the Sisters & Brothers to say a prayer for the “Fat Man” and ask for a cure for Hep C? Many of us in this world, and those who have already departed, have the disease. One big ABB family prayer could do the trick!” Done deal! 🙂

Take care and know that you are loved,

Lana and Rowland
