The news you’ve been waiting for to make this a really happy New Year has arrived – The Allman Brothers Band is returning to New York City for 8 confirmed shows in March 2010 at the 3,200 capacity United Palace Theatre (formerly known as the 175th Street Theatre). Specific show dates are March 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 19, and 20.
Even better (and the following information is NOT to be shared, forwarded, distributed, posted, transmitted, or otherwise propagated unless the person responsible wants to loose any pre-sale tickets they personally buy), the Allman Brothers Band is once again offering the Peach Corps a pre-sale of tickets.
You MUST have been registered in the Peach Corps by 12/31/2009 to even think about participating in the ABB’s 2010 United Palace Theatre pre-sale. Sales to anyone joining after that date will be cancelled.
The email address used to purchase ABB United Palace Theatre pre-sale tickets MUST match the email address in your Peach Corps account at allmanbrothersband.com
There is a 4 ticket limit/3 show limit per Peach Corps member.
There are NO exceptions to these rules.
The pre-sales starts Wednesday, January 6 at 8:00 p.m. and continues through Thursday, January 7 at 10:00 p.m.
This pre-sale is intended exclusively for members of the Peach Corps in good standing. The Allman Brothers Band reserves the right to cancel any ticket sale, at any time, for any reason. TicketMaster will not distribute any pre-sale tickets until the Allman Brothers Band management and yours truly approve the sales … and, as always, it’s our great pleasure to go through the list of pre-sale ticket sales one by one to sniff out, and cancel, any we’re suspicious of.
This year, in addition to being able to purchase regular show tickets, VIP packages are also being offered and Peach Corps members will have first crack at purchasing them during the pre-sale. Details concerning VIP packages will be available on the TicketMaster site.
Peach Corps members who are also AMEX cardholders may purchase tickets at a $5 discount. This discount applies to all price levels available to Peach Corps. This discount is only valid during the two-day pre-sale.

Speaking of ATRAIN, the A Train is a quick and easy ride from midtown NYC to the United Palace. More details on this and parking will follow soon.
Also, in the past there have been shows at the Palace where concert goes could not drink at their seats. This will not be the case for the ABB shows.
Tickets for the ABB’s run at the United Palace Theatre go on sale to the general public January 15 at 10:00 a.m.
