Hey everyone long time no post. Great to see so many familiar "faces". Unfortunately NYC is too rich for me this year. Unlike at the Beacon where the "cheap" seats can be very good if they are far down in the balcony, at the Palace those $60 seats ($72 with fees) are limited to only the back final 9 rows of the house. A decent seat will cost $113 with fees. I was supposed to buy 4, one for Dad, bro, and bro-inlaw but $452 would break the bank. Sad cause this will be the first year for me since 1993 that I won't see the ABB in NYC. Love ya ABB but this was bad year to raise prices. Hopefully there will be a summer tour and I can catch em at a shed. In the mean time I'll just have to be happy with Mule (NYE was INCREDIBLE), Crowes and Furthur whose tix are 40-50 bucks. Carol, I bet all those Manatees are in the river desperately looking for warm water, temps in the sound and gulf are freakishly low. BLD2, could that restaurant have been the Bubble Room? Great place!
Wow Carol - I've been to Fort Myers - many years ago the law firm I worked for had a condo there and I honeymooned there and Disney World - remember a very interesting restaurant there on Sanibel Island -
thanks Leah Marie...blew my mind..
so we did the car auction way down south in Ft Myers FLA following breakfast....picked up an F150 , nice truck, should sell fast..
So Im riding high..looking out the window cruzing over the Calloosahatchee River...Its swarming with hundreds, and I mean hundreds and hundreds of Manatees ! never saw anything like it in my life...
a great day
here's to the NYC Irish Policeman (God love Ya) and for Brother Joe Dan Petty , and especially for everyone who loved him so...
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back,
The sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again
May God hold you

How did they get the secret word?

just wonderful Carol - really lovely
Jody - I am familiar with the Goldman story - was definitely the holiday miracle for the Dad - how horrible he had to wait so many years for his son.
Jody-girl..really great news! thanks for sharing....and on january 8 no less...
magic day today...breakfast at Ashley's elementary school, PTO Mama's handed me 2010 upcoming schedule..It seems the children were so inspired when Ashley and I donated our hair at the school (to Locks Of Love) that they have asked for a special day on the 2010 calender to do the same...In fact, they are hoping to make it an annual event.
Understand, the school is in "East County" away from the "surf" ...Cattle and Orange Groves, long haired Country children, many havent had a haircut to date.
I will forever be grateful to the beautiful Brothers and Sisters that surprised Kevin and I way back when in Macon GA, when they dedicated a memorial monument and darling little Japanese Maple tree to Heather's memory, and donated their long, beautiful , and turned to us and cheered, "for Heather".
anyway...the thing that was most amazing to me, and unbeknownst to these children and PTO Mamas, was the day they chose to hold this event. March 13. the exact day Heather flew away.
These lovely little children , innocent and sweet, cannot imagine how much their quest to do something to make this a better world, has brought Joy into my heart.
I know I am day early, but I am thinking of a friend who held out her hand and helped Kevin and I in our dark days of grief, herself knowing only too well the pain we were feeling.
We LOVE you Judi Petty... xoxox Kevin and Ca
Here's some good news...

NYC......??
we are out this year > too much for us all around.........maybe will see them on the road or something.
will I watch it eh-berry night on da MOOGIS.......??
"hell yeah" > as they say.
you betcha we will.
😎
Boy oh boy, with all the bitchin' and moanin' about ABB in NYC tickets, glad we're doing Mule in Jamaica and passing on NYC this time around. No stree this year. The Island Exudos is a bit pricey, but I know it will be warm and most likely a once in a lifetime trip for Gailagain and I. All inclusive with Mule on the beach for three shows plus a 4th night of rockin'.
And I thought the Beacon Weekend was a marathon. We'll need to use good buzzzzz management.
YOU ROCK SO YOU ROCK SO!
Not the same buzz but looking forward to the shows. A great way to celebrate my 50th year of living!
I changed my email address..oh well looks like I rely on public.
Is the presale over.....? I realized that my email has been sabatoged by my soon to be ex, no wonder I did not receive an email.
Can I change my email?
I received no information regarding a presale! Oh so sad!
key to the presale now is we get an early look at the best least expensive seats. Those are the seats that sell out the quickest for shows now. Scalpers make more money on those tickets rather than the expensive seats. The $ 60.00 seats are the tickets that will sell out first for each night of the run this year.
I'm originally from Macon. And, like most folks from Macon we have an affinity for the Allmans. My father(deceased) said once that he had a minor infraction with Greg inside the Macon Elks club once. I'm glad it didn't lead to any trouble. Sorry, Greg but if you went one on one with my dad you would've got your but whipped. Drinks, bravado, attitude, and testostorone dont mix well!
I agree Tony by the way - it just is not the same anymore - I bought tickets for two shows last year - both in the first ten rows - and I did not enjoy the shows as much as I should have and that still bothers me -
No tickets for me this year unless a winning lotto ticket is found -
