Still no new dates - really -
Happy Holidays everyone!
It's been too long since the Allman Brothers have been to Boston. Hope to see you here soon!!
hard not to think of the good people of Boston today
when I think of Boston, I think of a LIVE recording that circulated ,sometime after Dickey went back out on the road, solo, with the DBB.
It was nearing the end of the tour, maybe even the last show.
Dickey was cleary exhausted, I could hear it in his voice, mournful and lovely, but also beat up on.
Suddenly, as Dickey sang "I hope you'll understand" a beautiful backup of rich baratone voices, with the Boston twang to them , sang out loud and clear - "that I was born a Rambling Man ..."
Boston strong indeed
just want to thank Dukeofmarz for the you tube videos
OMG Gregg broke his wrist - damn he has a black cloud over him - hope he heals quickly and completely - the p/t can be quite a drain.
Anyway of course I am behind in my listening to the Beacon shows, but a kind brother hooked up and I started to listen to my birthday March 7 - what a different and awesome show - right now I cannot get past track 5 - Warren nailing Worried Down with the Blues - so good I need a cigarette - that good - damn sure wish I could have scored tix for this but my turn will come -
Yankees took 3 out of 4 from the Red Sox so it was a fine weekend
Wanee brought out again another Gregg issue.
Apparently Gregg injured his left hand and Kofi came in to play piano and support the band.
Posts in the forums say there was a golf-cart accident.
At least it Gregg's voice that the people want to hear.
Next,

Need more reviews from Wanee!
Hope everyone's had a good weekend!
I don't know if he was just using thewrong word, but here's a quote from Butch:
"It was sad that we had to cancel the last four shows at the Beacon because Gregg got very sick but the ten shows that we did play were some of the most fun shows I've ever played in my life."
