I got to say the same thing. This is a big day for all dads. Bigger than our birthdays. Which is ours alone. This is just a special day for us. We should all walk proud and have our heads up high. We have pushed the human race another step forward. Philly, I saw the recap of the Phills game. Yes, that was a hard pill to swallow. Today is a new day.

Truly Happy Father's Day to all the those that realised it is a lot more work to be a Dad than Father and accepted that responsibility. My older daughter left for Spain and Morroco this week for a study abroad trip with UCLA. She whispered in my ear as she left that she was really sad about missing Fathers day 'cause I'm the best. That ended the strong Daddy BS and brought on the tears. Time to start thinking national past time. Yanks and Mets both looking decent. the only bad thing about the Dodgers and Boston playing each other is they both can't lose.

Happy Daddy Day :waving: My dear father passed away on August 1, 1976; he was 93 years old. He was 70 when I was born and I had a pretty normal childhood considering - he took me to the amusement park (no, he wouldn't let me ride the AstroJet and kept me on those dinky little boats that you sailed around in a circle, clanging a bell) and taught me to ride my first bicycle. Can you imagine a 75 year old man running down the block holding onto the seat of my bike (sans training wheels) and then letting me go? God rest his soul. He was a fiery little Sicilian man born in New York City in 1882, married to an Appalachian lady from West Virginia born in 1917. He had a young wife and a good life.

Happy Daddy's Day to all the daddies. Lee Roy Parnell wrote a beautiful song for his daughter when she was facing a life threatening illness called "Daddies and Daughters". Daughters are especially close to their daddy....I will always be a Daddy's Girl.

Philly, Charlie will be alright and get the Phils on the right track. Just a rough streach. Somebody need to put a fire to the Rays. No matter its all about the Yanks. That is if you are going by the tube.

Headed up to Ct. to see Jaimoe, Dave and Jr. Mack play tonight. Haven't seen Brother Dave in a long time, and I'm looking forward to saying hi to a great guy. I am sure there will be some great music as well. Red Dog, I hope you are doing okay! As always, sending you strength to be able to accomplish want you want. Mitch
