Happy Daddy Day :waving:
My dear father passed away on August 1, 1976; he was 93 years old. He was 70 when I was born and I had a pretty normal childhood considering - he took me to the amusement park (no, he wouldn't let me ride the AstroJet and kept me on those dinky little boats that you sailed around in a circle, clanging a bell) and taught me to ride my first bicycle. Can you imagine a 75 year old man running down the block holding onto the seat of my bike (sans training wheels) and then letting me go?
God rest his soul. He was a fiery little Sicilian man born in New York City in 1882, married to an Appalachian lady from West Virginia born in 1917. He had a young wife and a good life.
