Radio HTW has to be one of the highlights of the new site, if you haven't tried it you owe it to yourself to give it a listen. Since it appears to focus on bands of the Allman genre I was wondering if there was a mechanism set up PeachHeads could use to request a band be added to the request library lineup? The "Radiators" are a very hot band hailing from the Big Easy (New Orleans) that have a long storied history. Their catalog would fit in nicely with the Radio HTW mix, they definitely are in the spirit and sound of the Allmans (although they are FishHeads, not PeachHeads). Is their any way to add them to the lineup Rowland or Lana? And of course, here's hoping you can talk the Brothers into breaking in LIVE Radio HTW for the first time with one night from the Beacon run! (Hey, might as well wish big)

Shn & burning I sent this to Linus but thought I would send it to all The best place to get educated is on www.etree.org. Basically Shn is a lossless format. Mp3 looses the high and low end. Which take up the most data(size). But live music sounds very warbly. Lots of flutter in the sound. The thing with shn is that it is huge in size and you need software to convert it so that you can burn it to a cd. Here is an example. Let's say you download Whipping post. Mp3 format=20 megs Shn=45 megs. But then you need to convert it to a format that is recognizable by cd-burners called .wav. when you convert it it bumps the size up to 90 megs. So when a person sends you a disc with the show on it in shn format you can't listen to it unitl you do some work. You need to copy it to your hard drive. Then you use software from Softwound http://www.softsound.com/wsh23b32.EXE to convert it and then you use your cd-burning software to burn it. When burning the software make sure you choose DAO (Disc At Once) this eliminates the 2 second gap that you get on non-live cd's. Eric

Good Afternoon Fellow Peachheads, Hope everyone is having a good day. I certainly am. My daughter was running out to a local record store, so I asked her to pick up the new cd by The Word and man , it is some sweet stuff. I received a sampler with my last Hittin' The Note issue and that's what sold me. I highly recomend this CD. Can't wait to see this band live, or at least Robert Randolf. Also, I'd like to thank Artie M. for DTB. 9-29-01. Just came a few minutes ago, and thanks to Dave(nypeachhead) for the ABB5-11-96 show which also arrived a few minutes ago. Wow, what a great day. You're a great bunch of people...Peace...Neil

Lana, I seem to navigate OK here, I think maybe some problems others have ties into wether you have your PC "remember your pasword". If you don't check that option on your PC, you will log in all the time. I always come "pre-logged". QUESTION?????? Is Peach Corp membership the same as registering here? Or do we have to do that somewhere else still? And where? The reason, I think I need to update my e-mail there, if it is different than the registration here.

So what are you listening to these days? 1. Bob Dylan & George Harrison 5/1/70 2. Great Sothern 8/11/78 3. Soulive-Doin Somethin 4. Bela Fleck & Bruce Hornsby 5. Railroad Earth-The Black Bear Sessions The last one is a NJ band that has been together for 1 year. Incredible Bluegr***** music. Or as Kirk West would say "Music for ya Blue *****"

Howdy Brothers & Sisters this is my first post to the NEW guest book. I like the new look of the site and am slowly (with the help of Lana... Thanks!) learning my way around. Are there still PeachoGrams being sent out? I have not gotten any in a long time. I sure don't want to miss any late breaking news. Can't wait for tour dates!

Finally getting to listen to the live Blue Sky right now from 8/15/71. Wow, better than the live versions from Clemson or The Warehouse. Thanks to David for this one, and many other Duane shows I didn’t even know were available. You are the man David!

Hey Jeanne, Every site does have a different color. This one is light blue; HTW's is grey; FFR's is black; Oteil's is white, etc, etc. You can also look at the top of the page to see where you are. This one says: Hittin' the Web with The Allman Brothers Band. If you're on the Flying Frog Records site it will say: Hittin' the Web with Flying Frog Records, etc. Take care, Lana

I just love cruisin over to Dickey's house with all that warm coloring. Maybe it would make it easier for folks to recognize which GB they are in if the colors were unique to each room. What say aw man? Would color coding help the old dog?? I'll volunteer to color. I stay inside the lines...mostly. *smile*
