If you haven't met Joe & Vicky, go to the HTN booth next time they are on the road. They'll be the nicest people you meet at the show.

Blues and Barbecue THIS Sunday in Birmingham!
(clipped from the Birmingham News)
Besides appearing at a Saturday sickle cell forum in Birmingham, Food Network star and best-selling author Jeff Henderson will appear at a Sunday afternoon music and food event in Five Points South.
Henderson will do cooking demonstrations and barbecue tastings at the “Southern Comfort Presents: Blues & BBQ.” The free event will be from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Pickwick Plaza Courtway. The area is behind the Hotel Highland and the H Bar on Magnolia Ave.
The Shaun Pezant Trio, Elnora Spencer, The All Stars, Glen & Libba and others will perform on Sunday. Wine tasting, BBQ, sushi, pizza and more will be available.
Henderson, who learned how to cook in prison and became a successful chef upon his prison release, wrote the New York Times best-selling book, “Cooked: From the Streets to the Stove, from Cocaine to Foie Gras.’’ He will speak and do a cooking demonstration during Saturday’s Sickle Cell Disease Town Hall Forum, 2 to 6 p.m., at the Highland Conference Center, 2012 Magnolia Ave.
Call 205-901-9923 for more information about Saturday’s forum, and 205-939-4599 for information about Sunday’s event.
:fanfare: CONGRATULATIONS to JOE & VICKY
.
Good day everyone. Another hot one in Denver. We are in a string of 95 degree plus days with triple digits due by Saturday.
Red Dog, here is a link to my nephew Jack's blog-he is the one who has been fighting esophogeal cancer and is in his 3rd round of chemo with good success and while one round would have been great, he was diagnosed with a type of cancer in stage 4 (inoperable) that would have been a no hoper 5-10 years ago and he now seems on the verge of beating it. His story is inspirational.

Good luck and have a good attitude during treatment.

Randy, I think you’re up there with anyone carrying on the spirit of Duane Allman. Your consistant positive outlook is a pleasure to read.

Cool story 2Old2Boogie.
Nice gesture Red Dog, I hope Butch see's it. I thought you had resolved the situation originally by removing your post and basically recanting your public statement to begin with, but obviously certain people thought it was necessary to fan the flames, why is beyond me (oh yeah, some people are a-holes, particularly on the internet). Regardless glad you are taking the high road, hope Butch meets you there. Hope you are feeling well.
Happy anniversay to Joe and Vickey! Hope to see y'all soon.

Happy Anniversary to the Bells - ding dong - long may you love!
A big hug for Mr. Joe Campbell this morning. I have to keep reminding myself about life being too short to get bogged down on grudges, being offended, cutting myself off from folks over perceived wrongs. It's just not worth it. There's too much fun going on out there to dwell on "stuff." It has been a hard lesson for me to learn, and it's always easy to fall back into that mess. But a total waste of time.
Life is just too short....
Congrats to Joe Bell and Vicky. Not many have contributed more to the legacy of Duane Allman than Joe. He's right there with Ector in my book.
And congrats to Nic the Fighter. Fighting is good, if it's against the real enemy.
Congrats to the Bell Family on their anniversary! Wishing you many more years of happiness.
Mitch

Not always; especially when he rides his bike. Couldn't find a good helmut for it, I guess. 😉
