Will cast my DVD wish vote for an appearance by EC. Hoochie Coochie Man maybe. "Have you ever loved a woman" would be great too. Hey I'm dreaming here so let me enjoy it.

The ABB has enough material so they don't need to do songs that Dickey penned..........that's my take. EAPFP

I'm lost and I'm new. I don't fully yet understand how the site works, and any help would be appreciated. I'm a new and big fan of the ABB and the others in the family, so I would like to just get to know some fellow fans and learn the ropes to the site. Thanks

Dear Woody and all others who may be hurting here on the GB. I have had several friends who have lost family recently. My own father's health has declined drastically in recent years. However, this passage from the bible has comforted me during these particular times of grief: "Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:30-31 I'm probably taking this out of context, but I have always felt that this means that when we leave this world if we've put our faith in the Lord then when we get to really "where it all begins," we will have new bodies. The sicknesses, diseases, old age, and pressures of this world will "trouble us no more." We will have incredible strength and peace. God bless each and everyone of y'all today.

First things first....to Woody and his family, my deepest condolences and sympathy on the loss of your brother. May God be with you and your family. Second, I like to thank everyone for the messages of hope and support that y'all have sent my way. Just knowing that there are people out there who care definely makes what myself and my wife are going through a little easier to bear. Thanks and God Bless you all. Also, to JIm, thanks a lot for the "care package" you sent. It definely added a little sunshine to a dark day. And to Tim, have to agree about what you said about New Orleans. I was down there for 3 weeks about a year and half ago and loved the place. Now convincing the wife and my lSiberian Husky, well that's another story. Anyway, I'll see you at Mule show at the 9:30.

This is a little late, but all the best to Woody, Fred, and your families. I think I saw another person from RVA posting here recently; if so, welcome, and send me a PM, if you'd like. Take care, friends!

Way cool show, Billy! It was even recorded on my wedding anniversary. But, since we weren't in the Big Apple for the Stones show, we did the next best thing ................. we rented a 2 story log cabin, complete with Jacuzzi, in NW Arkansas, and drove around looking at our Elk herd. Yep, Elks in Arkansas. About 550 of 'em are wandering up and down the Buffalo National River:dance:, just doin' their Elk thang. The third coolest thing after an ABB show or a Stones show. Thanx, Brother!

Hey GB. Hey great news Terri!!! I was just on the Gathering of the vibes site and they have a great site over there. You register for free and then can post on the message board. There is alot of ABB talk on there. Positive and negative. The post that grabbed me to sign on originally was "Allmans and a bunch of bikers" The post was from someone who was not too happy the ABB will be at the vibes and the droves of bikers that come with them. The power of knowledge is amazing. Many people came to the bands cause on the thread. I did warn everyone however, BE AWARE, THE PEACHHEADS ARE COMING!!!!!!! Peace people!!!

I just ran a search over at Pollstar.com. It looks like the Derek Trucks Band is booked for the Blue Note in NYC on Monday, March 24 (an off night for the ABB) AND>>>>>DTB is also booked for the Gathering of the Vibes on July 12 😀 I guess Derek's gonna be busy that day.

Hey GB. Lana, as always tahnks for the info. I am going the 25th and wanted to make sure they were filming. COOL!! Mike if you go to Radio City for the show there is not a bad seat in the house. I love that place. Went to 2 of the ABB shows when they had a run there. Good stuff.

Hey Terri, I didn't realize it was a fundraiser. I just did my homework and found out that the proceeds are going towards music education, and other worthwhile things. But I still recall Stones/Elton John/Springsteen and the like, ticket prices bring thru the roof, and they all get big sponsership, which should help keep the costs down. Just my 2 cents. I dont get it.
