Dear Woody and all others who may be hurting here on the GB. I have had several friends who have lost family recently. My own father's health has declined drastically in recent years. However, this passage from the bible has comforted me during these particular times of grief:
"Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
Isaiah 40:30-31
I'm probably taking this out of context,
but I have always felt that this means that when we leave this world if we've put our faith in the Lord then when we get to really "where it all begins," we will have new bodies. The
sicknesses, diseases, old age, and pressures of this world will "trouble us no more." We will have incredible strength and peace. God bless each and everyone of y'all today.
