Dan, I didn't know who wrote Never Been to Spain until you just posted. I have an Elvis cd, Elvis Live at MSG. It is the first time MSG was ever sold out for a concert. Elvis does a great version of that song, in fact its one of my favorites on that cd. If anyone wants to get a great cd, get that one. Elvis' band is great, James Burton on guitar and one time Garcia Band drummer Ron Tutt on drums. Some great stuff on there.

Rick, much as your opinions drive me nuts sometimes, and I am convinced you go psychotic with the full moon, I must commend you on your noble feat, bro......

Now that Rick won the ACLS, does that mean he plays the winner of the NCLS? :boomerang:

Brofan, I think you were right the first time. I'm pretty sure we saw him in 89 or 90 touring the "To Long in the Wasteland" album at the Park West. I still remember his classic line- "I just got back from Canada, where we played in front of crowds of tens". "You had that boyfriend.. with the Chevrolet He never met Will Rogers I'll bet its safe say Its safe to say.. He never met Will Rogers"

I feel this quote needs sharing on this site: " I've always loved music. listened to it, making it, live or recorded. In any language,at any time of day or night. I feel that life is simply a matter of one foot after the other and down the road we go. If we are lucky we get to enjoy a little song or dance now and then. I've been singing my song to life since I was born. I've learned that love and the blues seem to be partners. This music is my wish of life abundant and bright, full of joy to you and those for whom you care." ------------------------------Hoyt Axton died age 61 1999 at his ranch in Bird72's state of Montana.... Songs: Greenback Dollar I've never been to Spain Boney Fingers The Pusher Snowblind Friend (hits for Steppenwolf) Joy To The World (hit for Three Dog Night) No No Song (hit for Ringo Starr) Mama Axton wrote "Heartbreak Hotel" just remembering The Man.

Multiple nights Windy-yeah. I'll be pitchin' a tent in your back yard. Make sure you keep that side door-door to the garage open. I'm ready for warm weather, and I'm real ready for some live ABB with brother Warren and brother Derek leading the charge. Happy Freekin Friday everybody

...about RickT's ACLS certification. I know what he went through and have seen nurses cry because of it. Most people do not understand what you get when you call 911. Is an ambulance coming with just EMT's, or is one coming that is ACLS certified? Big difference. Paramedics must have this certification, nurses do not, unless they are working in an area that requires it. Rick must've taken this step and was hammered regarding his knowledge. No mistakes can be made in this area. Nothing can be forgotten. Ask yourself...what do YOU want me to remember when I am working to save the life of your loved one? Rick doesn't sell shoes; he devotes his life to saving lives and certified at the highest level. I'd trust him with my family. (Does he deserve to be hit upside the head sometimes? Yes.) Congrats to Rick---keep on saving lives, you %$$##@!

" I surely would not mind a Hittin the Note caliber ABB album in the next year followed by a Gregg solo album with his 2005 Friends lineup the next. " Sounds like a plan to me Tim!

Add my insignifcant two cents on the Gregg quotes. Beacon definitely is money maker for band, no travel, two sets a night and great fan base. I can see them doing Northeast summer shed run in July. Doing a Fall Southeast run buoyed by Fox run, similar to last year. Midwest and west coast I am sure they will hit in some fashion. Although Gregg loved the recent GAF tour, there was a tough bit of weather for that run and he was battling a cold. Probably did not put him in a good mood about touring travel. That said, can't wait for the Beacon. Enjoy the weekend.

Guy just walks in my office, has an LP Brothers and Sisters he's selling. Guess it's a bit obvious around town that I'm way too far into this! Nice to see Mr. Sandlin's name on the back as producer. EAPFP

With all the boxes piling up in Jhawks livingroom, a huge 'salute' goes out to Bird72, Libby and ****** who doesn't want to be identified. Just talked to Tyler, like Tony said, he is overwhelmed. The love you give sometimes isn't equal to the love you recieve...sometimes it is overwhelming. Sometimes a door shuts and another one opens where you least expected it...Joseph Campbell used to say that... Tony hates these "...." but I don't care. The Bird72 flapped his wings and winds of joy spread out across the land. There is a happy and stunned man sitting at his piano in Kansas as I type this. He is playing "Melissa" and wondering what happened to him this week...
