Well, fudge! I missed Brofan's birthday!!
Hope you enjoyed your day, Rich. You're a good egg.
Speaking of eggs, thanks for puttin' in my request, Michael. I'll let you know...
Hey Zambi, didn't Amy Pike sing in another band besides the Lost Continentals? That name sounds really familiar.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. With any luck, some of those summer dates will become official this week.
:bounce:
I know these guys (meteorologists) seem wrong more often than they are right, but this certainly looks promising for Live Oak:

Great to catch up with JNB at the Dogwood Festival today, and renew my subscription to Hittin the Note at their booth by the main stage. I had the opportunity to see The Bonaventure Quartet (Quintet) this afternoon, which is a wonderful acoustic jazz/swing band, a la Django Rheinhardt. TBQ is the brainchild of "Deacon" Charlie Williams, a wonderful guitar player and superb songwriter, formerly of Bruce Hampton's Aquarium Rescue Unit in the late-80s (Charlie wrote ARU's "Davy Crockett" and "Gone Today, Here Tomorrow" ). TBQ's singer, Amy Pike (of Lost Continentals), has a helluva set of pipes on her. Wonderful voice, and amazing range. I did manage to get a little bit sunburnt in the hot Georgia sun, but a great time nonetheless. The Dogwood Festival is a killer festival.
