Happy Birthday to Susie and Sherry..
And a safe and happy 4th of July to all..thanks to our armed forces and law enforcement for working to keep us safe and free !!!!!!
Yes, Ryan, July 4, 2002! Thanks for the flashback. That was the last show of the wonderful trip I took with Lana. What a great time meeting everyone that day! I can't believe it's been three years already...
I hope everyone has a fun-filled, but safe, holiday weekend. I'll be around here to check in with everyone!
Calling TanDan, calling TanDan - come in, TanDan! PM me, please - I have a very important message for you.
Peace to one and all over this holiday weekend. Be safe, have fun, and listen to the music LOUD!
Willie Howard (from Mayberryetta, a suburb of Hot'lanta)
Spent a couple of fine Fourth of "Jew-lie"s (Gregg's way of saying July) with the Allman Brothers Band.

Made the mad dash from Athens to Conyers to get their just in time for the show. Did some more research on the effects of mushrooms and got my introduction to the religion of Jackie Pearson, great time, great setlist, and a great show, still one of my favorites.

July 4, 2002
Nashville, TN
First time meeting many Guest Book folks in person...Great Scott, Cee Cee, Zambi, Joe Roy, and Easy Michael. We had great seats 6 rows back from the stage and it was as hot as a son of a b*tch up front. We partied in full observance of the Fourth of July. The Bros. took the stage, Oteil started to levitate (I hate it when he does that), 3, 2, 1, blast off and the rest is history. Good but not great show and setlist. Highlight was Southbound with Jackie P. and Johnny Neel. Lowlight was post concert, tossing and turning in bed with this screaming in my head:
"Been lying here for hours
Can't get my eyes to close
Can't get one moments peace
To save my poor old soul
I've been doing more than drinking
Trying to easy my pain
But everywhere I go, somebody speaks your name
All my friends keep asking
"Boy, what's wrong with you?"
I say, "I'm worried, worried down with the blues"
Too much sun and fun for me, to say the least.
Will be catching the Cubs-Braves game on the 4th this year, should be fun. Everyone enjoy the holiday weekend, be safe.
Thoughts, prayers, and thank you's to our armed forces and their families.
Take care,
Ryan

Wishing everyone a perfect 4th of July weekend!

"Farmer is a SOLID dude. When the Mule Came to St Pete I walked up a bit early to the show and whos standin outside looking at some glass pipes, my man Farmer. Introduced myself and had a nice talk with him. A Regular Brother"
Rob, I had a similar experience this winter when G Mule played the Denver Fillmore. We went early and he was roaming the hall, so I stopped him to say hi and we talked a bit-nice guy.
Happy 4th everyone. Off to see Warren/Mule,moe et al at Red Rocks today with some of my regular concert buds-cruzpro, Deb, Dave, Phyllis and Jason, plus I am bringing my acupuncturist and 2 of her friends. She is a new convert to the bands we love-came to the Dickey show with us a couple of weeks ago.

Hey Randy, I was there too! also on the bill: the Funky Meters and a suprise guest appearance by the late, great bluesman Fury Lewis.
July 4, 1976 (or '75, I forget): Liberty Bowl, Memphis. Charlie Daniels, J. Giels Band, Rolling Stones, fireworks, Noon til Midnight, ten bucks. EAPFP
Ya''ll have a Happy 4th weekend.
The 4th was a bummer to me in the late 70's and part of the 80's. I used to work in a bank and all of the fans had to come cash their Gov checks.
As they left all of them would say" Have a Happy 4th.
Lucky that I saw ABB in 90 on the 4th and a few more times. Got me into it.
