Spent a couple of fine Fourth of "Jew-lie"s (Gregg's way of saying July) with the Allman Brothers Band. July 4th, 1997 Conyers, GA Made the mad dash from Athens to Conyers to get their just in time for the show. Did some more research on the effects of mushrooms and got my introduction to the religion of Jackie Pearson, great time, great setlist, and a great show, still one of my favorites. 1. Don't Want You No More 2. It's Not My Cross To Bear 3. Statesboro Blues 4. Sailin' 'Cross The Devil's Sea 5. Midnight Rider 6. Change My Way of Living 7. Trouble No More 8. Blue Sky 9. Good Clean Fun 10. Stormy Monday 11. High Falls 12. Those Eyes Again 13. Southbound w/Mark May 14. Dimples 15. Back Where It All Begins 16. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed Encore: 17. One Way Out July 4, 2002 Nashville, TN First time meeting many Guest Book folks in person...Great Scott, Cee Cee, Zambi, Joe Roy, and Easy Michael. We had great seats 6 rows back from the stage and it was as hot as a son of a b*tch up front. We partied in full observance of the Fourth of July. The Bros. took the stage, Oteil started to levitate (I hate it when he does that), 3, 2, 1, blast off and the rest is history. Good but not great show and setlist. Highlight was Southbound with Jackie P. and Johnny Neel. Lowlight was post concert, tossing and turning in bed with this screaming in my head: "Been lying here for hours Can't get my eyes to close Can't get one moments peace To save my poor old soul I've been doing more than drinking Trying to easy my pain But everywhere I go, somebody speaks your name All my friends keep asking "Boy, what's wrong with you?" I say, "I'm worried, worried down with the blues" Too much sun and fun for me, to say the least. Will be catching the Cubs-Braves game on the 4th this year, should be fun. Everyone enjoy the holiday weekend, be safe. Thoughts, prayers, and thank you's to our armed forces and their families. Take care, Ryan
