Go find a political site to rant, there are plenty. THAT is my point. Leave Duane's legacy devoid of political agenda's. Duane himself kept music sacred.

ah! I broke the edit button sorry please forgive me , cant forget, possibly the most sterling moment of the evening, spoken as a Mother of a son, a Grandma of a Grandson. If I was a great photographer and had a camera handy, Id have shot Dickey, sitting down and finally, after all was said and done, turning his gaze to his boy, his man child, and for one brief moment, and only one brief moment, Dickey's eyes glazed over with pride. If pride is a sin, Dickey is no sinner. That sudden flash in his eyes of pride , was so hard earned by the man's child, so deserved. Even the good Lord couldn't fault him for that brief moment. one more thing, I cant forget. Midnight Rider. No *****, Made me feel uncomfortable. Dickey and my eyes found each others in the crowd, his grief and pain were all too evident. I tried to enjoy the moment, but even Dickey appeared as sad as I felt. Then he shrugged as it finally came to an end, still looking into my eyes, though he turned his face to the crowd, shrugged as if to say, forgive me, and in a faultering teary sounding voice, "for Gregg Allman ". oh God I miss the Allman Brothers ! Thanks to the good Lord we still have Dickey, Jaimoe and the children … Have a peaceful Sunday friends, love Ca xoxoxox

this may sound unbelievable, but... so you know I was riding high rolling down hwy41 (albeit Northbound 🙂 ) to see Dickey-boy, even Kevin had the DB grin behind the wheel.. just as we turn off onto Macintosh (?) in Sarasota , few minutes from gig, I asked Kevin, what's this? push a button in new Jeep, voila, we had Satelite! (I know, duh 🙁 free trial hah!) Nationwide baby! DJ, or whatever they are called these days, yelling excitement through the speakers, DICKEY BETTS rehearsal concert in Sarasota FL TONITE! oh I am so there..throws on an incredible VERY early LIVE Stateboro, I mean to tell you, all I could hear was those gorgeous guitars, the ultimate high. Just as GA, in all his finest Southern drawl glory starts to wail, exactly at the minute the first lightning bolt of the rain season hits , not only that, early this year, mind you, and only moments before we arrive at saloon. A huge, sparkling , fiery glowing bolt lighting up a darkening, misty Sarasota sky. As if we weren't already thrilled enough. Park the Jeep, somehow the crowd overlooked the best parking space in the lot, more magic. Run , well, not sure if you can call it run , Kevin can still move, Grandmama hustled best I could, through the misty raindrops, beating the deep mud we knew was coming. The rainy season wears out the Yankee in me 🙁 but love the biting fish and cooling breezes. Truth is, Id have been happy just to let my eyes rest easy on Dickey Betts taking the stage, taking control of the boys in the band, maestro supreme! Hot 'Lanta was as good as it gets. Tip of hat to Damon Fowler and Duane Betts. Ferocious twin lead guitars , Pedro pumping bass, "Little Italy" omg, Dickey is hilarious! dueling drummers, was just perfect, I could feel the tears of Joy stinging my eyes. Literally Heavenly salve for this aching old heart. I was too high on Dickey and drinking in every second, to give you more, except to say, Duane threw out a solo, was it Lizzy Reed? had to be, hands down equaled Duane & Dickey, lush, so brilliant, so fine, we once again have a guitar God for the ages Peachies. by the way, DB's new cd is a delight . What can I say? I love the kid, all the Allman children, near as much as I love my own. don't you all? TY for taking my pain away Dickey Betts. TY Kevin, you are truly the love of my life, any man that could put up with my ABB crazy , King of my heart. At last! am built up again, ready for rain. The wildflowers in the Memory Garden Heddy and I surrounded the house with have burst into wild abandoned bloom <3 Life is so good. ps, Hi John! good to see you 🙂

Haven't been here in years. hope everyone is well. Wanted to know if anyone has seen the ABB documentary entitled "After the Crash"? Saw the second half of it on AXS-TV a few nights ago and really enjoyed it. It has some cool footage and I hope they replay it soon. Does anyone have any info on this?
