ah! I broke the edit button sorry
please forgive me , cant forget, possibly the most sterling moment of the evening, spoken as a Mother of a son, a Grandma of a Grandson.
If I was a great photographer and had a camera handy, Id have shot Dickey, sitting down and finally, after all was said and done, turning his gaze to his boy, his man child, and for one brief moment, and only one brief moment, Dickey's eyes glazed over with pride.
If pride is a sin, Dickey is no sinner. That sudden flash in his eyes of pride , was so hard earned by the man's child, so deserved. Even the good Lord couldn't fault him for that brief moment.
one more thing, I cant forget. Midnight Rider. No *****, Made me feel uncomfortable.
Dickey and my eyes found each others in the crowd, his grief and pain were all too evident. I tried to enjoy the moment, but even Dickey appeared as sad as I felt.
Then he shrugged as it finally came to an end, still looking into my eyes, though he turned his face to the crowd, shrugged as if to say, forgive me, and in a faultering teary sounding voice, "for Gregg Allman ". oh God I miss the Allman Brothers !
Thanks to the good Lord we still have Dickey, Jaimoe and the children …
Have a peaceful Sunday friends, love Ca xoxoxox
