Most of us wont forget Tyler's first show in 20 years either when you went to G Mule in Tulsa, it was priceless reading. I hope there is a concert near you this summer also.
I am leaving for a little plastic surgery on some skin cancer on my cheek right now-wish me luck. I should be back home in 2-3 hours.
Just got off the phone with the Wanee Festival people. I was told the show is "all booked up". The
"owner" would not talk to me directly.
The person would not say who was booked.
The person who soiled himself was probably Bluedud....he does that on
his better days. I have reccomended "Depends" .
B.
Oh gosh us poor old bumpkins in Carolina are Soooooo afraid of the bears.
I think the guy in the next office just soiled himself!!!

Ron_e, I guess this means no caving trips,eh? I've been miles underground in 1" breathing space and suddenly remembered I may have left the stove on...true story. Hope to see you at Wannee again this year.
I'm with Debbie here. Anywhere at the Beacon is going to be better than where I'll be---watching the GB for Cujo's reports.
How many points you giving there big bad bear?
And then Maxi woke up from his wet dream. Time to get up to start another week of work.
Loudest concert:
Black Sabbath 71-72
Ted Nuggent 71
LYn Skin 74
Monday Headline - Cats maul Bears at Soldier!
Lefty, you forget "the twins".
ron_e, any Bears fan I know? If you listed every single ABB song in order of preference, than, yes, the last ten would be your least favorite.
well I have experienced Row DD and Orchestra M and P. This year i'll check out the loge then next year when all I can get is balcony I'll try that. Loge is good for beer runs!!!
In the past they have released more good seats in the pre-sale probably a ticketmaster thing, this year appears none got any who knows why.
"The pre-sale this year was a bunch of crapola. To be offered the worst seats in the house when I was right in the ticket system on time during what is billed as a fan pre-sale is bull*****..Who gets all the good seats?Did anybody on this list get some good ones? All my buddies struck out and did better with the regular sale. What happened Lana??"
I'm with you Karen, enough already with the whining about tickets.
Yomama, we were all in the system right on time, all jockeying for position for a limited amount of seats. I'm not sure who got ALL the good seats, but I know I got some. No, they're not front row center, but you know what, there are only a few of those to go around and I'm happy with what I have. I'm going to go and have a good time no matter where I'm sitting, you should do the same.
The pre-sale was not crappola, it was simply an opportunity to get tickets before the general sale. BigSix got it right, it doesn't guarantee us anything, it only gives us a chance to buy tix ahead of time IF WE WANT THEM. If not, we all take our chances in the general sale. Thats the way things are. Your luck in the draw has nothing to do with Lana or anyone else, if you don't like what comes up, toss it back and try again. Lots of people got "shut out" that aren't complaining, they're looking for other ways to get tix, like from folks on the list who have extras they'll sell you for cost. If you try it, it usually works out. :yep:
I don't care when I sit at any show.......I am in the building and hearing the band I love sooo much. that's enough for me.
Loudest show for me was in the early 70's Black Sabbath....was right in front of a huge speaker on the floor--did not hear for a couple of days.
See y'all in NY :bounce: :bounce::bounce:
When sitting right under the balcony I always feared the dreaded sick drunk doing a rainbow hurl on innocent folks down below! call me paranoid but I have seen it a couple of times, once at the old academy of music, talk about a beatable offense
not that there IS a single bad ABB song. there are probably ten songs that are my ten least favorites. you know. no offense intended to anyone or any song or any songwriter and peach corps member any seat in any location in the Beacon theatre and lord forbid, any offense to any Bears fan.
oooh, lee, right, the very back row of the loge (aside from my feelings of being closed in) IS kinda fun that way. forgot about that one!
I like the back row of the loge. It's a different view from my normal place way down front. And you can actually stand and shake it, unlike the rest of the loge.
i just don't. personal preference. some deep psychological thing about being underneath something, fresh air, i dunno. the people i know who like the back of the loge outnumber me about 38 - 1.
people are entitled to arbitrarily like or dislike stuff. this, for example, is my 10th consecutive year of not asking the question "why would ANYONE want to hear (fill in name of any of the ABB's ten worst songs ever per my personal preference) when that tune doesn't improve on the sound of the band standing onstage tuning their instruments?" on the other hand, i know people who run for the lobby during MY favorite songs, which is OK by me. people just like different stuff. i'd rather be halfway up the upper balcony than 3rd row in the loge. puts me to sleep, even as the people around me are saying "this is like watching the band from the couch in your living room! awesome!!"
Gotta agree with a lot of the bands folks are mentioning as being loud. The first one I vividly recall was Deep Purple, as someone else mentioned. And it was an outside show, to boot. That was the only time I got to see Blackfoot, who opened the show. The only song of theirs I knew was their version of "Morning Dew", which must have been getting airplay at the time. Speaking of which, I would LOVE to hear the ABB dust that gem off. Gregg's haunting vocals on the old versions of that literally give me chills.
Oh yeah. What Karen said!
:koolaid: :koolaid:
i am throwing out a towel, so that all those crying can dry thier eyes....I love the ABB..I love our family...I love ....super hot, hot wings..(just thought I would throw that in there)
I totally agree Tyler - especially about the part where the music drowns out the chatter - if you want to talk - go to the lobby!!
Michelle heard from Steve around midnight and he was crying - I'm trying to send him major vibes to just hold on and stick it out - if he gets through boot camp, he can do anything!! There's a great commercial with a father and son after the son comes home from boot camp where the father says for the first time you have looked me in the eye - his son has become a man - I truly hope so
