First met Lana ryhmes with Donna at the 1999 Beacon run at Gary "wonwayout" Nagle's Gin Mill party. This was after posting on the old HTW Guest Book for nearly 2 years. Organized my first listserv/Guest Book party in New Orleans summer 1999 before the Saenger show where I saw Derek as a Brother for the first time. I think I met EasyM in '02 at the Beacon.

First face to face with other GB'ers at a show was Pine Knob in '99. Also hooked up with Randy H. who was at the first ABB show I saw back in Dec.72, that was trip. Randy ,if you're out there PM me as I long ago lost your contact info. Most fun was going to the Beacon in 2000 and attending a little get together at the Beacon Hotel hosted by Frim Jolly and his merry pranksters. It seemed to me most of the disreputables from the GB were in the room that Saturday night, including Miss Lana and Shey who I met for the first time. Bird was there too, but it was winter so I'll never know what colour socks he had on and it was way too cold for sandals....

EasyMichael, have a great night tonight. I wish you could book a few Denver dates-I'll put the band up. As far as rememberances-I met Michael at breakfast after the Sweeties/Left Coast/Big Men weekend 3 Beacons ago (my new calendar-"It was 2 Beacons ago" LOL). That was the weekend I first met the Sweeties, BigMike (we had been trading cd's) and others at the Beacon. I had met Lana (and Sheyenne) a couple of years before that at a pre Red Rocks party at a Boulder brewpub.

I met a bunch of GBers that first day of the "Beach-to-Peach" run in early August 2001. There was a nice gathering at the Fish Camp the afternoon before the show. I consider many people I met that day--and then for the Raleigh and Charlotte shows--among my closest friends! Thank you, Lana, Rowland, and HTW for brightening my life so much! I'm looking forward to the next time I get to see some of my favorite people--this Sunday!

My life of crime with these GB pranksters began in October of 01. Gov Mule at The Electric Factory I believe. I met The Sweeties, BLD, Jeanne, Stormy, Big Mike. It's been all downhill from there!:looney: This was less than a month after the terrorist attacks and I think it was the first time we let ourselves have fun again. Doug gave me shelter from the storm that night. I was definetly a creature void of form. Stayed up throwing the bull all night, formed some lifelong friendships that night with many more to follow.. 😀

Hiya marco. I got mine thru the first pre-sale and I don't have mine yet. Kinda weird how that works. For the Niagara Falls shows, I had my tix less than a week after I bought them. And my Widespread tix for the Chicago Theatre I've had for a month and the shows aren't till the end of August.

cool beans... I figured there was some reason... I don't eat much cheese as I try to keep my salt intake down... and most cheese is not really cheese... it's "cheese food" or "cheese product"... I'm not really trying to lose any weight... jsut to eat sensibly now so it won't be as much of a problem later in life...

I think VA Beach 2001 was the scene of the crime, for many of us. I met EZ Mike, Bird72 and someone I thought was named Donna  during one of the set breaks. Carol, Jeanne, Debbie, Scotty, Peachnutt & son, Brofan, Wayne, Soulman (Kevin), Left coast Brent, and now my memory is failing me, but it was a night of a thousand stars.

Thanks again for the kind words of support. The bland part of the diet is what suits me well actually. It makes the spicy foods I eat from time to time really stand out & easy to distinguish tastes. I cut out the milk because there is a lot of natrual sugar in milk that is not in cheese. Atkins diet makes you cut out milk but you can eat all the cheese you want. White cheese breaks down better in your system with less sugar metabolism than orange or yellow cheeses, hence the string cheese. I have limited the cheese intake this week though in preparation for the fasting. It's amazing how much water can fill up your body too. I have been drinking Crystal Light lmeonade rather than plain water to help me get more in. Regular water often gives me headaches if I drink too much too fast. But Crystal Light goes down really easy & tastes good for not having any sugar in it. It also helps curve the cravings for sweets, which I am not adverse to saying I have a pretty strong addictive problem with normally.
