Thanks so much for the kind birthday wishes. It means so much to me.
I had a very nice day. Mom was here, as were Brian and Jessica. Marsha cooked a delicious dinner with ham, black eyed peas, yams, and more. I still have apple pie waiting.....
There is so much to be thankful for. Three years ago, I didn't think Mom was going to be around much longer. I know your prayers and good wishes helped pull her through.
Another thing I am so thankful for is the friendships I have made here, thanks to Lana and Rowland. I think of you all, despite my poor letterwriting skills.
I am so glad Marsha surprised me with Beacon tickets back in '02. Thanks again.
Happy New Year to everybody.
Helen,
Thanks for the call from Atlanta.
Sista Bluz,
I'm sorry I missed your birthday, working out of town alot. It's always better late than never.
Happy Birthday!!! :birthday:
Happy Birthday, Steve! Hope you've had a great day and a great start of the new year.
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year Everyone.
Nice running into you Barb. Hope I wasn't singing Lovelight too loud
Other than my son screaming Pedro a few times, we really were on our best behavior 🙂
What an awesome weekend
:birthday: to a great guy, Corny! Hope to see you at the Beacon this year.
Wishing a happy, healthy and peaceful new year to everyone. May it be filled with loving family and friends and beautiful music.
Had a great weekend of music. Lefty Friday, Mule Saturday and Gregg and Devon on Sunday. As good as the music was, it was all the better sharing it with our friends!
Will post some pics in a day or 2.
Happiest of New Years to all.
Hoping 07 is lived well, it's here so let's have at it!
Right back atcha Mr. Campbell.
Happy New Year. May the good Spirit of the Hound be with you on your Journey through the Web of Time and Space?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A GOOD FRIEND CORNY !
OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER, BUT
TOO YOUNG TO RESIST...
MyCook is rustling up some turnip greens and black-eyed peas. :lick:
Wishing all good luck and world peas in 2007!
Here's hoping that everybody made it home from their respective parties last night! Great to see so many fine folks at HotlantaTim - Barb- GABBA folks (who'd I omit?) party at the Georgian Terrace. So nice to have the venue within crawlin' distance on NYE!
Fine, fine show by Derek and Susan and all of the players in both bands and the special guests. Great to see Tinsley Ellis up there on the ABB's, "Standback". A very cool slip-in by Atlanta legend, Ike Stubblefield there at the end.
Happy Birthday, Steve! :fanfare: Enjoy your day--play some guitar!
Lana, that sounds like one scrumptious dinner! :yep:
Happy New Year to all of you!

I hope you have the happiest of days and that you and Marsha have a wonderful '07!
Hey Yan,
I believe it's 12 & 35 🙂
Take care and know that you are loved,
Lana
To paraphrase what Charlie Daniels used to say, "ain't it great to be alive and be in Georgia!"
My thanks to you all for your love, support, prayers, good vibes, and music that you sent to me during my recent down time. Things are better, life is wonderful, and I love all of you more than I can say!
Happy 2007 to all my friends, and I hope to see each one of you and hug your neck and tell you in person how much you mean to me.
All my love,
Willie Howard (from Mayberryetta, a suburb of Hot'lanta)
Good new year's mornin' all! :waving:
The mule show was SO fun last night and it was GREAT to see and hear Greg on stage. He sang the Dylan song Rainy Day Women Nos. (I forget the numbers!:D )
Saw Nicole, Linnie and Kimberly!...so warm and fuzzy 😀 to meet up with you girls! Hugs to you! :flower2:
It was very touching talking to the BEACON staff, last night being the last night under the ownership that ran the place the way we know and love it. A lot of the staff won't be there anymore from now on. It will be run by the Madison Square Garden people (I hope not too much emphasis on "square" !) 😀
I hugged as many staffers as I could and expressed my appreciation for how they made everyone feel so welcome and were a reflection of the specialness of the Beacon structure itself.
I feel so grateful and fortunate to have enjoyed so many great experiences there at that New York city treasure!
I had a great time sitting right by the sound board last night, next to Kenny at the lighting board and Slim at the sound board--both such masters!
So wishing the loveliest enjoyment of this first day of the year to all!
Love, :flower2:
Janet
