GPM! Loving the Pig and the Jerry, you sir are a class act. So as many of you know there is a fund on this site for the Bill Ector medical fund. I was just writing checks for bills and as usual it was painfulbut I added a small monthly bill for the BEMF and that was the only check that gave me a feeling ofj oy as I wrote it.Trust me a very modest check but one that I will write every month. May I invite anyone and all to join me because as a collective we could knock that thing out of the park, crush it like a grape, and feel good doing it.Not to mention help out our brother who has been nothing but kind to this community. Theres no such thing as an unselfish act,cause.......I Feel Good ......

I believe J.J. Cale is taking up slack for Derek on those Clapton shows. I saw Derek and Eric a while back. I'd pay to see Eric and J.J., too. It's all good! 😉

Thanks. Now I know not to buy tickets. Nothing against Clapton mind you. Just too expensive for my taste unless Derek was in the line up. shineboy

I haven't been on this site for quite some time but I need a question answered. Is Derek touring with Clapton during any of the Beacon gigs? I can't believe he would miss any ABB gigs to play with Mr. Clapton. My home town venue, the Mark of the Quad Cities has this to say about Eric's current tour... Eric Clapton with special guest Robert Cray Tuesday, Apr 3 2007 at 7:30 PM The touring band features Doyle Bramhall II on guitar, Willie Weeks on bass, Steve Jordan on drums, two keyboard players and a full horn section, plus newly recruited Allman Brothers Band slide guitarist Derek Trucks (whose name came from the Derek and the Dominos LP) Shineboy

Its a good post Ron, and the point are well taken. I think you are more driven towards the philosophy of how to live, whereas I tend to think for example Red Dog is addressing facts and perceptions. Given that most people, in normal human existance, endure pain and suffering to some degree more or less, then I would have to say the cards are the cards. Choices aside, as in the example of your brother, life indeed is a combination of choices/non-choices/actions/consequences, all in one dynamic called a lifetime. We live the here and now, but we also recognize what brought us to a particular point. That would include for example the statement from RD the core brotherhood is dead. We carry on, but we understand what the deal is that brought us to this point. SO, in the final analysis, one group of statements is no more right or wrong than the other; they compliment each other, agreed?.
