sweet, i LOVE to look here and see the setlist(s)! what on earth could be more apropos here. anyone who can't scroll past it can look for that little "next page" icon at the top. it's not like tomorrow's lottery number is posted here...or IS it? tee hee. just DON'T LET SECURITY IN while you're posting the setlist. tee hee. love ya! oh, yeah, here's an addndum: a 'guest book' is where 'guests' often look in to see what's up. what's UP, ultimately, is what the band is playing in the here and now. i personally know people who would NEVER in a million years post anything here, but travel to the Beacon, go with 20 friends to a summer show, throw preshow parties, all that. those people stop in every now and then -- and especially NOW -- to see what's up.

I too was a drummer before I heard Duane and Dickey. Changed my whole outlook, interpretation, and understanding of music. I would suggest the set list be on the forum which can be edited/added too/ ect. It does get quite long to scroll through. There are a lot of great bass players out there today. Bluedud and BDOB...check with buppalo about a place to put your bones fri/sat nte. spdb

One of our favorite things to do here at Hittin the Note Magazine and Merchandise is to release ABB archival CDs - and this latest one from Boston Commons in 1971 is very special. Berry and Duane's banter with the crowd and the incredible playing of the original line-up shows why Boston embraced them in 1969 and still does to this day! Please click on the link below to see more info and to order. http://www.hittinthenote.com/cart/pc-651-35-allman-brothers-bandbrboston-co mmon-81771brnew-archival-cd.aspx Enjoy! JNB

SweetRiver: Well, its your decision, but I think there are a few here who do not mind you posting the set lists in the GB. As I see it, its a service of sorts.

EZM is right on about Oteil - he was a drummer before he picked up a bass. I once read an interview with Colonel Bruce saying that Oteil would have been a world class drummer if he stuck with it as his main instrument. Of course if he was a drummer he never could of turned into the Michael Jordan of Bass players...which means he wouldn't be in The ABB either. BY the way, 2007 will mark 10 years of Oteil playing with The Brothers - pretty amazing it has been a whole decade already. THere is nobody I"d rather see out there than Oteil, nobody. Safe travels to those coming to NYC this weekend... So great to hear Jody is doing well!

langman, Oteil was a drummer before he picked up a bass. I've seen him get behind a drumset at his bass clinics and play in Elvin Jones's style. Nice!

ABB Family Peeps, After a few shows, the stat list becomes rather large, and the last time I offered this during the summer tour, I received a number of messages ripping me for wasting space on the Guest Book. Therefore, after the next couple of shows, I will ask you all to go to the forum to check out the complete list if you're interested in following the run via the stat list. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do putting it together. 🙂 Anything Goes / Forum Subject: ABB Beacon 2007 Set Lists, Special Guests, and Song Counts Peace Sweet PS: I'm really going to miss everyone this year...I love ya!

SO happy to post after last night's show! Warren was at THE TOP of his game, particularyly the DWYNM>Desdemona. His leads on those were SICK! He took the last lead on DWYNM and the first solo of Desdemona (which was a switch) and it was some of the best playing I have seen from him in the 17 or so years I have seen him. No One To Run With was also Really good. Warren was going so strong on that one that when they landed back in harmony lines the momentum pushed it into a different tune. It was still the same harmony lines, but it was different. And it was really good. So far it's looking like this year's run will top last year's. They are playing that well.
